VOTIVE MASS AND NOVENA TO ST. JOSEPH
Every Wednesday we have the opportunity to pray to God through the intercession of St Joseph for our own intentions. St. Joseph is a powerful intercessor and we can bring our needs and petitions to him. Please join us on April 17 at 7:00pm. in our weekly
Novena and Devotion to our Patron. You may want to state your intentions on the petition slips avail-able in the Our Lady of Czestochowa Chaplet to be read during the devotion. This week Knights of Columbus will carry our patron’s statue into the sanctuary. We appreciate your offerings.
Prayer services, reflections and art often focus on the seven last words of Christ. These efforts try to capture the suffering and the agony of body and soul that Jesus experienced. In seven words we hear the intensity and the weight of the battle between evil and good, sin and grace, death and life. It is a solemn reflection on the difficulty of the spiritual life we lead as followers of Jesus. If some focus on His seven last words, we might also focus on His seven most difficult words: Take up your cross and follow me. In that short sentence, all the faithful find their mission and purpose in life, given at Baptism and sealed in Confirmation. We follow Jesus. Trusting in His promises, accepting the Holy Spirit, and with a willing mind and heart, we take
up our cross. It is the battle of faith, the power of hope and the glory of love. Through struggle, suffering and even death, we choose to follow Christ as our life and our light. Our final week of preparation for Easter is here and Palm Sunday is the time once again to take up the cross. In our own lives, we will live the Passion of Jesus. We struggle with the meaning of our life, the decisions we make, and the sins we commit. Never lose hope! The Lord knows the way. Just pick up your cross and follow Him.
Stewardship Note: How many times have you heard someone make a disparaging comment about Jesus or our Catholic faith? How did you react? Do you remain quiet not to cause a distur-bance? Or, do you remain quiet because you believe people will think negatively about you? Pray for the courage to speak up and enter into a respectful dialogue when the opportunity arises.

Good Friday Collection Catholics worldwide are invited each year by the Holy Father to support our sisters and brothers in the Holy Land by making a donation to the Good Friday Collection. Keeping Christianity alive in the Holy Land is as urgent a goal of the Church as it was in the days of St. Paul when he called upon various communities to support their brothers and sisters in Jerusalem. Your donation helps the Franciscans and others to minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools, and offer religious education. Your contributions assist the Catholic community with housing, food, health care, and employment. In these times of crisis, you also help in providing humanitarian aid to refugees and bring the sacraments and hope to Christians in places like Syria. Please be generous. —Bishop Robert McManus

On Friday, April 5th Mrs. Le-febvre’s religion class led grades 6, 7, and 8 in the Scriptural Sta-tions of the Cross. Saint Pope John Paul II introduced the scrip-tural form of the Stations of the C r o s s o n G o o d F r i d a y 1991. Each station takes an as-pect from the accompanying scripture and focuses on that spe-cific piece of the narrative.

o godzinie 6:30. • Msza Wieczerzy Pańskiej (dwujęzyczna), o godzinie 19:00,
Liturgia ta otwiera obchody Świętego Triduum Paschalnego. Upamiętnia ona ustanowienie Sakramentów Kapłaństwa i Eucharystii.
Następnie następuje odsłonięcie i adoracja Krzyża.

Syria.
