With nearly one thousand successful descents to its credit, the all-mechanical ImpactSelector Open-Hole MCT sets the standard for effective, efficient, and dependable multi-

conductor wireline jar performance. This unique tool represents a breakthrough in wireline

logging a true proactive solution to all types of sticking in open-hole applications.Running the MCT in the tool string reduces the risks associated with data acquisition in

even the most demanding applications, and allows for reliable wireline operations where

logging-while-drilling and drillpipe-conveyed logging were once the only options. When

included as part of the tool string, the MCT begins to free a tool the moment it becomes

stuck instantly activating upon reaching a preset tension setting and efficiently impacting

the tool string with the potential of 36,000+ pounds of force. The MCT also resets instantly,

and exceeds the requirements of todays wireline tools for downhole temperature, pressure,

and other harsh conditions.

HOW THE MCT OPERATES

The Open-Hole MCT uses kinetic energy to maximize its tool-freeing impact. When linetension surpasses a preset load limit, indicating a stuck condition, the tool activates and

transfers kinetic energy into impulse and impact on the tool string. Usually, this impact

intensified by the jars Weight Forward design and assisted by the elasticity of the wireline

cable frees the string. If not, the operator simply decreases line tension to relatch the

MCT instantly under its own weight. This unique tool can instantly be relatched repeatedly

for an unlimited number of activation cycles covering minutes, hours, or whatever it

takes until the stuck tools are freed.

Based on its proven performance, the MCT makes cost-efficient wireline data acquisition

feasible for a broad range of open hole applications, including smaller bore holes, deeperruns, sticky and deviated holes, and deep-water applications. With the MCT in the string,

electrical imaging tools, nuclear magnetic resonance devices, and borehole seismic (to

Xcalibur. The first and only cased-hole mechanical wireline jar

offering in-the-string-adjustability plus the dual-purpose versatility

of an e-line jar and a slickline jar in one. This patent-pending jar

is ideal for logging, perforating, pipe recovery, and P&A under

adverse conditions. Pre-set from a low of 300 pounds to a

maximum of 1,400+ pounds, with a 6-3/16 inch stroke.

Blockbuster. Extra-high impact capability for ultra-demanding

cased-hole operations, including intensive fishing, with solid or

braided wirelines. Provides a 6-1/2 inch stroke. Pre-set from a low

of 150 pounds to a maximum of 3,200 pounds for a potential

25,000+ pounds of impact force down hole. Patent pending.

Impactor EL. Using patented Impact Selector technology, this jar

is ideal for perforators, chemical cutters, jet-cutting tools, and other

equipment prone to getting hung up down hole. Conducts 300 volts

at 400 mA without losing continuity. Provides a 5-inch stroke;pre-set from a low of 550 pounds to a maximum of 800 pounds.

Impactor SL. An outstanding choice for general fishing and

plug-pulling service. Featuring patented ISI technology, this jar

provides a 5-inch to 7-inch stroke. Surface adjustable from 300 to

1,300 pounds.

Multi-Stage (MIT) Wireline. Patented ISI multi-stage impact

performance especially suited for use with ultra-sensitive logging

tools. Compatible with all connections. Provides multiple 7-inch

strokes; delivers incremental pre-sets from a low of 800 pounds toa maximum of 1,800 pounds.

Energizer Intensifier. Fully mechanical, self adjusting, unaffected

by temperature and pressure, the patented ISI Energizer Intensifier

stores line-tension energy to enhance the impact of our wireline

jars. Designed to be effective in highly deviated or corkscrewed

wells. Installs above the impact tool and runs independently or in

tandem with the weight bar.
