Features
1) Steam is available as an option in almost every cycle, except rinse, which is only
on one or 2 upper end models.
2) When steam is selected the 2 extra wash segments will be added, typically afterthe first 2 fills, so the third fill(segment) would start the Steam option. The first
segment of steam will increase the temperature of the water by use of the heater,
in the second segment of the steam option the heater will remain on and the
circulation pump will turn off partially through to allow water to drop onto the hot
calrod and create steam. (Adds 26 minutes to cycle)
The added heat option differs for the various
cycles. Some cycles will not be modified
while, some will increase calrod on time in
main wash and final rinse, while other cycles
will get additional segments added, ie Auto
w/o added heat has 6 segments and with
added heat has 9 segments

Features - Cycles
The auto cycle and normal cycle both utilize the turbidity sensor to adjust the wash
parameters of different segments. Normal cycle has the ability to skip segments
where as Auto cycle is a little more rigid structure and modifies main wash length.
Normal cycle time : 68 – 94 minutesAuto cycle time: 62 – 90 minutes
Normal & Auto cycles w/Added Heat : 106 – 116 minutes
Sanitize cycle : 51- 132 minutes.
Deep Clean : 119 – 174 minutes
Plastics: 87-154 minutes
Pots n Pans: 81-140 minutes
Light cycle time : 38 68 minutes
*NOTE: Fill: 16 sec. - 65 sec. Drain: 7 sec. – 105 sec. (Final Rinse) Dry: 8 min.
(Speed cycle) up to 60 min. (Plastic Cycle)
* Times Vary based on cycle, turbidity, temperature.

Turbidity Sensor: measures the
amount of suspended particles in
the wash water by transmitting light
and measuring the quantity of that
light.
Note: “Turbidity” is defined as the
amount of suspended particles
suspended in a fluid.

Turbidity Sensor - Calibration
Failure of the turbidity sensor will result in maximum wash/rinse cycles.
When a main control board is replaced, it
will automatically start a “factory test
mode” During that cycle, the turbidity
sensor will be calibrated.
If a turbidity sensor is replaced w/o
replacing a control, the turbidity sensor
can be calibrated by doing the following:
1. Open the door and press the
Start/Reset pad 100 times.
2. That will flag the board to calibrate thesensor during the next full dishwasher
cycle.

Testing the Control Circuit
When the control is checking the turbidity of the water, a pulsed 5 volt DC
signal is sent to the emitter. If you check the DC voltage at the control or
turbidity sensor you will see a fluctuating DC voltage of approximately 2volts DC.

Testing the Thermistor Circuit
The thermistor’s resistance has a negative
temperature coefficient. (NTC)
At 75º F, the resistance is approximately 9.9KΩ
At 140º F, the resistance is approximately 2.8KΩ
