Functieomschrijving: Datamanager
• Optimalisatie informatiedoorstroom tussen verschillende ORC onderzoeksgroepen
• Verantwoordelijk voor jaarlijks beleidsplan en activiteitenverslag
• Jaarlijkse rapportering aan VUB en UZ Brussel
• Organisatie van de maandelijkse werk en coördinatie vergaderingen van de verantwoordelijken van de
onderzoeksgroepen
• Organisatie van jaarlijks research forum
• Alternerend: hoofden van de onderzoeksgroepen, postdocs, predocs, externe onderzoekers
• Sensibilisering en coaching m.b.t. tot projectoproepen en ondersteuning fondsverwerving
• in samenwerking met de research manager van het UMC, Aude Bonehill
• Streven naar optimaal gebruik van personeel en infrastructuur
• Bevordering gemeenschappelijke facilities (“core facilities”)
• Organisatie van maandelijkse seminaries voor informatie-uitwisseling te
bevorderen tussen jonge onderzoekers (post-docs en predocs)
• Verslag uitbrengen aan de voorzitter (Prof Karin Vanderkerken)
• Ontwerp en onderhoud ORC website

• Momenteel wordt er gewerkt aan een uitbreiding van de ORC partners voornamelijk binnen UZ Brussel

• Globaal zeer goede evaluatie voor het oncologisch onderzoek (VUB-UZ Brussel).
• Oncologisch onderzoek kreeg tweede beste score binnen de verschillende vakgroepen (diabetes, farmacologie, micorbiologie,…)
• Opmerking: teveel “versnippering “ tussen de onderzoeksgroepen. Meer samenwerking en meer communicatie tussen klinische activiteiten en klinisch onderzoek is noodzakelijk voor synergie in het oncologisch onderzoek.
