Sound & Color ‐ the follow‐up to Alabama Shakes' Gold‐certified debut album, Boys & Girls, which earned the group three GRAMMY® nominations, including

nod for Best New Artist ‐ will be released on April 21 by ATO Records and MapleMusic Recordings.

Sound & Color demonstrates the tremendous strides made by Alabama Shakes since the release of 2012's Boys & Girls. From the gently swaying, chiming title

song to the garage‐rock freak‐out on "The Greatest" to the psychedelic space jam "Gemini," Alabama Shakes build on the soulful blues‐rock base and map a

surprising, innovative new direction.

earliest session in 1939 and culminating with his last in 1993, for his world‐renowned, multi‐platinum Duets and Duets II albums. All

Ultimate Sinatra’s configurations open with “All Or Nothing At All,” recorded with Harry James and his Orchestra on August 31, 19

during Sinatra’s first studio session. With that star‐making session, Sinatra embarked on a three‐year run of nearly 100 big ba

recordings with the Harry James and Tommy Dorsey Orchestras, followed by more than 50 years of sessions for Columbia (1943‐195

Capitol (1953‐1962; 1993‐1994), and his own Reprise label (1960‐1988).

have spent the last 3 years living between Melbourne and LA and

"We wanted

to

move

to

LA

for

inspiration

and

influence

more

than

anything. It helped us to experiment and find our own sound. If you

look at a lot of the alternative electronica and dance music coming

out of LA it definitely has a feel ‐ we love the weirdness and

sunshine. It has been a strong influence on many of our favourite

records from the 60s‐80s and we wanted to allow it to influence this

record," says the band's producer Ben Plant.

Armed with Plant's ripened perspective, Miami Horror have

the

quirk

Talking

Heads, New Order and INXS, through to the pop influence of Michael

On April 21, San Fermin will release ‘Jackrabbit’ (Downtown Records/Fontana North), the follow-up to their “jarringly accomplished” (NPself-titled debut album. Recorded in the midst of a year of heavy touring, ‘Jackrabbit’ blends the lush, pop-leaning elements that made ‘S

Fermin’ so “infectious” (Pitchfork), with the more manic and evolved sound of an experienced eight-piece rock ensemble.

Bandleader Ellis Ludwig-Leone wrote ‘Jackrabbit’ by himself from start to finish, only to find that after a year testing the songs on the roa

which included shows with St. Vincent, Arct ic Monkeys, a co-headlining tour with Courtney Barnett, and festival stops at Lollapalooza

Fun Fun Fun Fest, and more - the album wasn’t nearly finished. Ellis explains, “I went from being this isolated composer guy, out in the

woods, to sitting in the back of a van with seven other members playing shows in rock clubs every night. When I got back, I revisited it all,

ripped these holes in the middle of all the existing songs and added some new songs. I rethought everything I had been writing.”

Co-produced by Peter Katis (The National, Interpol) and Ludwig-Leone, ‘Jackrabbit’ bears the scars of experience admirably, with the

touring band on full display: Ludwig-Leone on piano/synth, Allen Tate and Charlene Kaye on vocals, John Brandon on trumpet, Stephen

Chen on saxophone, Rebekah Durham on violin, Michael Hanf on drums, and Tyler McDiarmid on guitar. If their debut could seem prepar

and guarded to the point of being polite, ‘Jackrabbit’ lines that record’s complicated compositional maneuvers and grandiose pop eruptionwith necessary aggression.

Recorded in New Orleans, with GRAMMY®‐winning producer‐guitarist Anders Osborne, the self ‐titled EP features four tracks that w

Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) continues its 12 Months of Rush celebrations with the release of a special vinyl Hologram Edition

reissue of the band’s epic, landmark release 2112 on March 16, 2015. This special edition will also come with a free download card for

the high resolution Digital Audio version.

Pressed on high fidelity 200gram vinyl, this unique Hologram Edition showcases a custom, hand‐drawn hologram of the “Red Star of th

Federation” in the album’s dead wax runout of side two. To reveal the spinning hologram, fans can use any focused source of light, suc

as the LED flashlight on a smartphone, directly above the turntable while playing.

Originally released in 1976, Rush’s epic, landmark release 2112 was their creative and commercial breakthrough as well as one of the

band’s most highly regarded releases among both fans and critics alike. With lyrics written by Neil Peart, 2112 kicks off with the

ambitious seven‐suite title track (side one) set in a futuristic world run by the “Priests of the Temples of Syrinx” who determine the

content of all reading matter, songs, pictures ‐ every facet of life.

The 12 Months of Rush

Last year Universal Music Enterprises (UMe) began its celebration of Rush’s 40th

anniversary with a vinyl reissue of their self ‐titled 1974

debut. UMe continues its celebration throughout 2015 with the reissue of the band’s remaining 14 Mercury albums in chronological

order.

Seattle singer‐songwriter Rocky Votolato has announced he will be releasing his eighth studio album, Hospital Handshakes, on April 21st with his new

label No Sleep Records in the US and Glitterhouse Records in Europe.

The new full length, Hospital Handshakes, is a surprisingly positive explosion of energy that examines themes of healing from trauma, overcoming

depression, spiritual longing and finding true meaning in life. It also marks a turning point in Votolato’s career, the end result of a tumultuous transitio

that began after the release of his seventh album, Television of Saints, in 2012 with the songwriter second‐guessing his gift and even considering retir

from music.

“It became painful for me to make music,” Votolato recalls. “I was hemmed in by the construct of who I thought I was supposed to be and I stopped

believing in myself as a writer. On the surface I looked like a functioning artist, but behind the scenes I was completely blocked creatively, fighting a

battle with severe depression, and struggling to keep my sanity.”

Following his final tour with mewithoutYou supporting the record, realizing that he hadn't written any new music in over a year, Votolato decided to

take some time off the road. It was then, in the summer of 2014, that the creative floodgates finally opened and he recommitted himself to his music

with a renewed passion and sense of purpose.

once

again

teamed

up

with

producer

Chris

Walla,

an

old

friend

who

was

going

through

his

own

transition

after

recently

retiring from his longtime role as guitarist and producer for Death Cab for Cutie. Speaking on his own involvement, Walla says, "This collection of song

hit me really hard, and at a really good time. It's shaping up to be a visceral and tactile album; the band is incredible, and Rocky's writing is spring tigh

right now. This is a good one."

"I feel like this record was all about pushing the boundaries of what I'm capable of creatively, experimenting with collaboration, and finding a new

environment for the kind of introspective songwriting that I've always loved,” Votolato explains. “To stay on the path of a life in music I knew I was gon

have to find a new direction and step outside of my comfort zone. It wasn't always easy but I'm so excited about the energy this album captures and ca

wait to share these songs with people."

Collaborating with a standout cast of Seattle musicians, including his brother Cody Votolato on electric guitar (The Blood Brothers), Eric Corson on ba

(The Long Winters), Andy Lum on drums (Craft Spells/My Goodness) and Casey Foubert contributing Aux instrumentation (Sufjan Stevens), the album

promises to be unlike anything he has released before. At the core of Votolato’s new music is the same earnest, impassioned, seeking voice, but now

with a little more perspective, the product of self ‐realization hard‐earned from a period of darkness and doubt.

“I’m writing about trauma,” Votolato says. “A lot of the material I’m working with is dark and scary, but I know there is light and healing coming throu

in the process, and I hope that will show up in the music as well.”

At first blush, it might seem easy to dismiss The Beautiful Ones as yet another in a long line of current hardcore bands aping late '80s

NYHC conventions. Upon further investigation, a deeper and more genuine aesthetic becomes apparent, as evidenced on their new fu

length, Jaded

Love.

The NYHC elements are undeniably present, yet a broader spectrum of influences stand out as well. Clearly the band has been listening

to everything from Alice In Chains to Slowdive and have impressively melding them into one cohesive sound all their own. Unafraid to

explore their mellower side, The Beautiful Ones recruited Pity Sex vocalist Britty Drake to sing on two of their new songs, including "Th

Morning" which features Drake handling lead vocal duties. The result is unlike anything heard on records from their contemporaries an

nods towards a certain progression for the band.

The Beautiful Ones are not the sort of band that sets out to turn things on their head, but with Jaded Love they may be naturally stepp

in that direction, and the results are striking. The album is due out April 21st, 2015 via 6131 Records.
