    1 Poster presentation (non-digital) size A0, 5minutes explanation may be required 1 Power Point Presentation complete with

    video/animation, sound effect and background music

    (5 minutes/group). Presentation topic will be given 1 week earlier.

    Individual- Five minutes oral only speech (prepared earlier but

    called at random during tutorial volunteers notexceeding 5 students) Scientific report based on the review of 5

    international journal papers using Engineering

    Science Department PITA report format 7 pages only(font 12 Times New Roman). No marks will beawarded for extra pages.

    Scientific research proposal writing 5 pages only(font 12 Times New Roman) inclusive of referencesand figures. Format will be given later. No marks willbe awarded for extra pages. Oral presentation usingPower Point 5 minutes only.

    Course evaluation.

    Three evaluation concepts will be used. D Demerit: Marks deducted for negative points or format

    errors not exceeding 3 errors. If more than 3 errors committed,work will be assigned D grade.

    M Merit only: Marks will be given for positive points only. Nomarks will be awarded and deducted for negative points. Whatare positive and negative points?

    Survival System or SS: Each group and individual will have tocompete with each other in order to be the best and survive.

    Marks will be allocated based on comparative performance.

    Rules of Engagement. Attendance is COMPULSORY. Since this course does not have a final

    examination, a student found absence without reasons supported bydocuments or proof of reasons shall have his/her final course markdeducted. The rate of deduction will be 5 marks per absence case. If youare absence for three lectures on a stretch without reasons as stated above,you will be referred to the HOD or Dean.

    If you fail to pass-up any assignment on time stated, your assignment markwill be deducted at the rate of 25% per day.

    If you did not pass up any of your assignment at all, your assignment markwill be 0 and you will be referred to the HOD or Dean.

    If you are late more than 15 minutes after lecture begins without goodreasons, you are considered to be absent.

    No student is allowed to leave lecture early unless it is an emergency. Any student caught cheating in any form or way, stern action will be taken

    ranging from hefty reduction of final course mark (25% to 50% reduction)will be imposed to expulsion. Bad behaviour during lecture will result in disciplinary action.
