To increase the availability of acrylics and to lower their cost, we developed economical processes for the syntheses of the monomers and made multi-million dollar investments in plant facilities in Houston, Texas to de- rive from natural gas and air many of the necessary inter- mediates—carbon monoxide, ammonia, hydrogen cya- JLliUC, dLLlMUUL, anu lucuianOi. How does this benefit you? Our long experience can help you in the transportation, storage, and handling of these monomers. Also, prices have been dropped—in the case of ethyl acrylate, from 49c to 34c per pound in the last 5 vears. Furthermore, Rohm & Haas offers the widest selec- tion of commercially available acrylic monomers, plus many acrylic monomers available in developinent quan- tities. You can polymerize these monomers, copolymerize them with a large number of other monomers, or use them as intermediates in reactions other than polymeriza- tion.
