VI.I_ABSTRACT

1969/2011 Fabio Alessandro Fusco was born in Taranto, Italy in 1969. He studied at the faculty of architecture of Pescara and graduated in 1999. He has worked as an architect in different practices in Taranto, Reggio Emilia, Milano, and in 2007 he has moved to Venezia to collaborate at workshop IUAV with Andrea Branzi. In 2003 he has founded “Architecture for the masses”, a research agency of architecture for the new territories. He’s currently teaching at Politecnico of Milan, in 2010 published a blog for student of the laboratory of architectural design called Architettura relazionale.

VI.II_ TEACHING ACTIVITY

2005/2011 Since 2005, the teaching has been developed in collaboration with professors from the Polytechnic of Milan, in the field of architectural and urban design and landscape. Since 2010 is appointed as adjunct professor at the Polytechnic of Milan, Faculty of Architecture, teaching architectural and urban design.

VI.III_ RESEARCH ACTIVITY

2000/2011 Between 2000 and 2005 several research period were spent in Puglia to investigate the relational structure of the areas of urban sprawl. The work produced has been along the years diffused through out seminars, traveling exhibitions, publications and lectures. From 2005 to 2011, the research focused on testing devices and figures for the new european territories.

VI.IV_COORDINATING AND PROMOTING RESEARCH ACTIVITY 2000/2011 Founder of the research agency Architecture for the mass, promote and coordinate research on relational territories, investigating the figures and devices of transformation of European urban sprawl.
