• Czech cuisine has been influenced by many other cuisines

• In Czech cuisine is influence by German (especially Bavarian), Austrian and by other Slavic cuisines

Typical czech meals

• Fried cheese (Smažený sýr) – usually Edam

• Potato pancake (Bramborák or Cmunda)• Made of potatoes, flour, eggs, garlic and

marjoram

• Czechs don´t eat lot of sea fish• They eat freshwater fish (especially carp on

Christmas)

• Czechs like soup before main course

• Typical Czech soups are bramboračka, kulajda, and kyselo

• Made of potatoes, mushrooms, carrot, celery, parsley, garlic and marjoram

• Made of cream, mushrooms, potatoes and eggs
