Dear Football Fans,

Thursday coming (September 28, 2017) there will be the soccer match 1. FC Köln against Roter Stern Belgrad in the Rhein-Energie-Stadion. And it will be for the police to make sure that security and safety is ensured for all and everyone participating including those attending the match as visitors. Please do support us in this our task and show that you are good hosts and guests alike in that you will fully treat the supporters of the respective other team with due respect. The police makes no difference between the colors of the football club – moreover we draw a line between those acting peacefully and/or violently. And the Police will strictly and consistently crack down on those, whose intention it is to misusing a football match to behave agressively and incite violence – no matter where this happens – somewhere at or around the football stadium area or inside the city limits of Cologne. Please do support us in this our task and thus make a contribution to security and safety.

Come to the Stadium only once you have a valid Admission Ticket for the MatchOn the day of the match as of 8 o’clock in the morning the fans of the away team will find space for parking at the car park „P4“ at the stadium. And right from there you can travel with public transport (KVB-Tramline 1) downtown Cologne and afterwards back to the car park. All tickets for the match are sold out! Please come to the stadium only if you have a valid ticket. At the stadium there is a ban on selling alcoholic beverages – and at the stadium you will not have the opportunity to follow a live braodcast of the match or buy any alcoholic beverages.

Given the thick traffic sitution to be expected all fans are asked to using the public transport facilities.If you have already a valid ticket for the match, make sure you will arrive on time. There will be admission controls at the stadium gates.

Behaviour of SpectatorsPlease help that football will remain attractive and actively join in the common responsibility spectators should share. Observe the stadium regulations and any instructions given by the security personnel or by the police. Any failure to observe the security requirements will entail law enforcement personnel to intervene.

Racism and Xenophobic ActsJoin the line together with the Football Clubs and the police to counter racism and hostile acts against foreigners. Be attentive and refuse actively any signs of racism and xenophobia. The police will not hesitate to resolutely go after any criminal offences obvioulsy motivated by xenophobia.

Use of PyrotechnicsLaunching or otherwise using pyrotechnics at public events is prohibited and an offence under the law. Such actions may cause very serious injuries. Do cleary address to those who obviously fail to observe the legal reqirements and thus help to protect life and health of all persons. It is forbidden under the law to carry or launch pyrotechnics and – as a result – such acts will be prosecuted, and what is more – besides a penalty to be imposed – this may also be sanctioned by a ban on entering a stadium.

Reachability of the PoliceOn the day of the match there will be a great many police officers along the routes to the stadium and at the stadium itself. Do not hesitate to address to the police officers in case you have any questions or face any problems. In case of emergency just dial the police emergency hotline: 110!

The Security Personnel of the Event Organiser (1. FC Köln)There will be security staff members of the 1.FC Köln inside the stadium limits and at the adjoining areas to make sure that the match can take place without disturbances. Those security personnel will exercise the domestic authority and are allowed to refuse persons from entering the stadium or send them out of the stadium. The security staff are also permitted to keep persons suspected of having comitted a criminal offence into custody until handed over to the police. Please observe any instructions given by the security personnel and thus make sure that this event can develop without any disturbances.
