Orde van Architecten

ORDE >< beroepsvereenigingen

• ORDE = publiekrechterlijke instelling die waakt over de

toegang tot het beroep

• treedt op via nationale raad als reglementerende instantie

en als vertegenwoordiger van het beroep

• 11.000 leden

• beroepsvereenigingen zijn verdedigers van zowel morele

als materiële beroepsbelangen

• leveren dienstbetoon aan hun leden

• NAV / BVA / FAB /Architecten bouwers

doel van een stage

• de verschillende facetten van het beroep leren kennen

• mimimaal 2 jaar

• best ononderbroken

• binnen de drie jaar (tenzij uitzondering)

• wisselen van stagemeester kan maar niet onder de 6

maand.

• je dient je in te schrijven op ‘tableau’ (> deontologie)

waar gebeurt een stage

• op het bureau van de stagemeester (niet thuis)

• stagemeester 10 jaar regelmatig ingeschreven

• indien buitenland : gelijkaardige ancieniteit

• aantal stagiairs in principe onbeperkt doch aan te raden

• betaling is niet verplicht, maar wel als ‘medewerker’

• vergoeding dient ook aangepast naarmate de opleiding

• Vlaamse raad adviseert een startvergoeding van 10€/u

excl btw en te verhogen met 2 euro / 6maand.

• statuut is zelfstandige . bezoldigde/ambtenaar

• stagefilisofie en stageplanning

• buitenlandse stage (voorafgaandelijk +om de 6m evaluatie)

• leergangen tijdens stage (ev. tijdelijk reductie tot 100 uren)

• sociaal statuut

o loontrekkende > via werkgever. enkel ziekenfonds

o zelfstandige > sociaal verzekeringsfonds + ziekenfonds

Why think of a PhD?

• I am really fascinated by my study domain. Preparing and

conceptualising my masterproof was really fun!

• I would like to focus on one specific research topic during

the coming (4) years and to come up with original research

findings.

• I am ready to work independently on my research topic,

with the support of a supervisor and a research group.

• I am looking forward to sharing my research interests with

peers through presentations on (international) conferences,

publications, exhibitions, …

• Next to my academic qualities, I would like to work on my

general skills and relate my research to social challenges.

- 1 doctoral programme for research related to Architecture, Interior Architecture and Urban Planning. The choice of topic and supervisor defines your specialisation.

- Doctoral programme focuses on PhD’s in History andTheory, Research by Design and Building Technology. Youdefine your approach and methodology together with yoursupervisor.

- Admission requirements: minimum grade in Master programme of distinction.

- Master after Master or study experience abroad is anasset.

How getting started with a PhD?

• Define your research interest(s)

• Talk with a supervisor (Faculty of Architecture)

• Make a doctoral proposal together with your supervisor

• Look for a scholarship together with your supervisor

o Funding obtained by promotor, researchers are

engaged afterwards

o Looking for funding for specific candidates with a PhD

topic

• Submit the doctoral proposal to the doctoral committee
