National Poomsae Referee Coordinator (Dutch Taekwondo Federation (TBN)) Give courses and trainings for starters up to national/international technical juries and administrative work. Further I wrote the rules according WTF standard in conformation with Dutch Federation (TBN). Professionalize quality and growth. These views characterize the focus for the coming years. Technical taekwondo is gaining more and more importance within the world of taekwondo and beyond. This visibility and positive development result in more attention for the sport within taekwondo. To my opinion, technical taekwondo needs to be promoted further, and made more spectacular by introducing the proper guidelines. We followed the right track we have to stick to the chosen direction. A nice milestone is the fact that technical taekwondo has made it to the 1st and 2nd Poomsae World Championship in Korea. I am satisfied with the former and current responsible man for technical issues Mr. Aad Boom and Mr. Ben Oude Luttikhuis President of Dutch Taekwondo Federation (TBN). These gentlemen gave me the freedom to explore new possibilities. Also it‘s nice to have regular contact about the normal procedures, advice and the latest developments. The members also benefit from this. Good technical juries are important because they contribute to the acceptation of competition results. In the coming years I will, via an action plan, increase the quality of the technical juries and reinforce the technical jury organization. The technical juries have to take refreshing courses in order to keep up with continuous international developments. Simulation exercises, like video tapes of national and international competitions, can be used. The jury corps has to grow in the future. Courses are being offered to increase the size of the current national jury corps and promotions to keep motivating them. O the other hand, current juries get the opportunity to refresh their knowledge. Furthermore, I hope that we, as juries, can meet twice or three times per year for the future in order to pay more attention to theory and practice. The level of knowledge will certainly benefit from this.

Member of Poomsae Committee (Dutch Taekwondo Federation (TBN)) President of Dutch Taekwondo Federation Mr. Ben Oude Luttikhuis (8th Dan Kukkiwon) has asked me and some colleagues with a lot of poomsae experience to standardize the Dan-examinations Poomsae. The purpose is to standardize the Dan examination Poomsae in The Netherlands in conformation with the Kukkiwon textbook 2006. By doing this, there will be a uniform policy with regard to organization and judgment of TBN Dan examinations regionally as well as nationally. The first meeting was an extensive session in a good environment and interaction. In this meeting was decided that the WTF standard Poomsae DVD and the Kukkiwon textbook 2006 will be used as basic assumption/basis. Furthermore, personal execution of the poomsaes during the Dan examinations will be taken into account. As soon as I came home, I wrote a report about this first meeting and send to all colleagues.

International Taekwondo Masters Cup This year, 2008, I organized the Masters Cup for the 7th time. It‘s an successfully international A-classed tournament in Kyorugi (sparring) from 2nd geup and technical (poomsae) from 1st Dan/Poom and highbreak, poomsae with music, speedbreak for pupils, starters, juniors and seniors. This tournament is nationally as well as internationally acknowledged as organizational high classed. National teams of Austria, Denmark, Belgium, France and Czech Republic took part in this tournament. Other participating countries were Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, San Marino, Switzerland, Ireland, USA, Belarus, Lithuania, Germany, Portugal, Spain, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Albania, Turkey, Morocco and of course The Netherlands. Also because of the help of volunteers of our club and of the municipality Sittard-Geleen, it became a successful tournament.

Career I was looking for a sport young of age. Until I read an add in the newspaper about a taekwondo club in Munstergeleen, which was led by Mr. Jan Bartels 4th Dan taekwondo. I became enthusiastic instantaneously. After that I enlisted and became a member anno 1977. This sport protruded by dynamics, what especially I contests showed very clearly. Soon became clear that also I wanted to join these contests. I was training very fanatically. However, Jan Bartels left for Ireland, and Mr. Mai Douven, 4th Dan taekwondo of Hawarang Merkelbeek took over the club. After a while, the club ceased to exists because of lack of members. The remaining club members could joy the club in Merkelbeek. After having trained for some years, I had gained several regional titles in sparring, technical and Dan graduations. I also gained several times a 3rd place at the national championships.

I was approached by the former national coach Mr. Ad van Emmeriek. He offered me to train together with the national kyorugi team. Because I got more and more interested in the taekwondo sport. The world opened and many regional, national and international tournaments followed. I could not develop anymore at the club Hawarang. That‘s why I started looking for a top taekwondo club. Via team member Erwin Gouwy. I landed at Mr. Henk Horsten instructor of Tilburg North Taekwondo (TNT). During by training days and days with this club I gained my first national title.

Later on I also joined some other taekwondo clubs in region South (Limburg), Germany and Belgium.

Explosive TaeKwonDo action Finally I found the club (Taekwondo Oude Luttikhuis) where I would be more able to develop myself further in kyorugi and poomsae; the club of former national coach and President of Dutch Taekwondo Federation (TBN) Mr. Ben Oude Luttikhuis.

During my years in this club I gained quit some titles: for example National, International, Teams National, Open Dutch, Open Limburg, Open German, Open French, Open Belgian, Open Spanish, Open Danish, Als Cup, Flora Pokal; Open Austrian and National Team meeting. Furthermore I joined the European Championships, World Championships, World Cup and the Olympic Games 1988 as a demonstration sport in Seoul Korea.

Competences and skills Meanwhile I have been a dedicated main trainer for 18 years of a multi cultural taekwondo club. Besides my responsibilities as head of the family and a temporary job as all-round general and technical employee with the municipality Sittard-Geleen, which has to contribute to my social career, I spend 15 hours a week on taekwondo. For this I depend on sponsoring and subsidies. I take good care for the wellbeing of the members in view of self-defence, self-control and discipline. I encourage them in and outside the sport. I encourage them in their life, help them to get in contact with youngsters outside their region and abroad. This will benefit to the development of the young people, personally as well as socially. I promote the integration as well, and act as an example for local and allochtone youngsters. Via discipline I teach them, that by working hard they can reach the top. Besides my club, I have been busy promoting taekwondo. You can see this by the number of clinics and trainings I gave in the municipality Sittard-Geleen. These were given at primary schools, high schools, after school trainings for youngsters, during holidays, sports foundation department of sports stimulation for the school youth Olympics, sports promotions in neighbourhoods, activities for disabled people, clinics in Europe and Africa. I gave taekwondo demonstrations on several special or major sports events as well.

On this picture you can see master M. Moutarazak together with club members who passed their geup exam. The exam contained technical, one step sparring, self-defence and breaking techniques. Young and elderly people joined the exam. I was a member of the district committee, youth committee and union representative. I highly promote the name awareness of the municipality Sittard-Geleen at international contests. Whenever my players win a gold or silver medal, people are confronted with the fact that we come from Sittard-Geleen, The Netherlands. Nationally, our club ranks in the top 5, with regard to sparring and poomsae.

I give special trainings for veterans (from 30 years onwards) and to people having social limitations which disables them to participate in the society in a normal way.

Achievements within the club Taekwondo Vereniging Moutarazak (T.V.M.) member of Dutch Taekwondo Federation (TBN) number 150215 is a non commercial club where training is given in kyorugi, poomsaes, Hanbon, Hosinsul, Kyek-pa, highbreak and poomsae with music. Founded by Mr. M. Moutarazak in January 1990.

The club‘s goal is to practice and promote Taekwondo:

• Courtesy; Integrity; Persistency; Self control and Enormous mind power. The club is characterized by hospitality and a dedicated practice of the sport. By dedication and professional practice of taekwondo, TVM achieved national and international results. The club has two special teams in technical and sparring, who participate in national and international A-competitions. Furthermore, several club members are part of the Dutch sparring and technical selection team.

• 3 Members were elected sportsmen of the year; 1 member elected as sportswoman of the year, 1 team elected as sports team of the year

• Since the foundation some 63 Dan/Poom holders have been guided. • 2 Members were elected as best technician of a tournament. 6 Members are also members of the national

selection team (kyorugi and poomsae). 31 Members are graduated and qualified referees/judges. 71 Times Regional, 24 Times National and 17 Times International Champions

• Club members have been participate kyorug and poomsae in Belgium; Italy; England; France; Germany; Denmark; Scotland; Austria, Turkey, and Sardinia.

Former National Junior coach (Dutch Taekwondo Federation (TBN)) Besides my career as martial arts competitor, I also trained the national juniors team. Training and scouting of sportsmen. Motivating sportsmen. Coaching sportsmen during contests. Taking care for a good group atmosphere. Taking care of creating good training conditions and maintaining contacts with parents of (young) sportsmen. This resulted in 3 European champion and 2 quarter finalists. And to my full satisfaction, many did so, which led to enormous good results.

Coach of the Youth Olympiad Games team: Besides coach of the national juniors team, I also acted as coach for the youth Olympiad Games team of the Municipality Sittard-Geleen. What are the Youth Olympiad Games? It is event of partnering 7 European countries -featuring 15 different sports - with over 1.500 competitors - all of whom are under 18 years of age.

1) The 10th Youth Olympiad Games in Bergama (Turkije): 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze, Country result 1st place. 2) The 12th Youth Olympiad Games in Sittard-Geleen (The Netherlands): 5 gold and 3 silver,

Objectives and Goals: I learnt how to live better, how to do things better and how to improve myself. I learnt about discipline, respect, organization and helping others. Also learn how to live peacefully and to cooperate with others. I do believe these qualities that I learned from taekwondo make me a better person; the person who I am today. Moreover, I have a strategy in my life.
