10.00 - 10.30 inloop
10.30 - 11.00 opening; Christine Hylkema (rector Jac P Thijsse), Erik Vos (director Worldschool), Toon Mans (burgemeester van Castricum), Mirjam Blaak (Nederlands ambassadeur in Uganda). Muziek: Schoolband Jac P Thijsse. 11.15 - 12.30 Eerste ronde presentaties 12.30 - 12.45 informele nabespreking van leerlingen met opdrachtgevers of experts 12.45 - 13.30 lunch 13.30 - 14.45 Tweede ronde presentaties 14.45 - 15.00 informele nabespreking van leerlingen met opdrachtgevers of experts 15.00 - 15.30 afsluiting en certificaten
Leerlingen blijven tijdens de twee presentatierondes in het lokaal waar zij ook presenteren en
wonen daar de overige presentaties bij. Docenten kunnen naar een lokaal van eigen keuze
gaan, afhankelijk van de presentaties van de eigen leerlingen of voorkeuren.
De twee presentatierondes duren elk vijf kwartier. In die vijf kwartier zijn er maximaal vijf
presentaties, behalve als er op een school meer teams aan één opdracht hebben gewerkt. Je hebt dus
ongeveer 15 minuten voor een presentatie.. Het is erg verstandig niet meer dan tien minuten te
presenteren. Er zijn deskundigen aanwezig en mogelijk ook je opdrachtgever. Zij moeten, net als de
andere aanwezigen, de kans krijgen om te reageren op je onderzoek. Ze zullen er vragen over stellen.
Misschien ontstaat een prettige discussie. In elke zaal is een zaalvoorzitter aanwezig. Hij of zij helpt je
om het gesprek na je presentatie in goede banen te leiden.
Handig: Bereid voor welke vragen je de toehoorders wilt stellen, of welke stelling je hen wilt
voorleggen. Dan komt de interactie makkelijk op gang. En ben jij nog steeds 'in control'.
Alle presentaties worden in het Engels gehouden.
Informeel nabespreken...
Op veler verzoek hebben we ook dit jaar tijd ingeruimd voor het informeel nabespreken met de
opdrachtgevers. Zo kunnen ook zaken besproken worden die tijdens de presentatie niet, of niet
helemaal, aan bod kwamen.
Presentatietips
In het voormalige YES! project hebben leerlingen onder leiding van een communicatieadviseur van
het Ministerie van Buitenlandse Zaken aan de voorbereiding van een presentatie gewerkt. Daar
kwamen tips uit voort. Ze staan in de Worldschool YES! wiki,

Andere presentatie-software, zoals Prezi: Bij elk Worldschool Event gaat wel iets mis met Prezi's.
Behalve als je gewoon een eigen laptop meeneemt en van te voren hebt gecheckt of alles werkt. Er is
internetverbinding, maar ga er veiligheidshalve van uit dat er GEEN internetverbinding is.
