The client Andy Winter is the area manager for the southern regiocorporate chain of the Wetherspoons and Lloyds bar free house

There is a requirement for the existing free houses The Giddy Bridg

Southampton to be refurbished and changed into a bar/night club

The design and concept can be individually selected and does not

to be based on the existing Wetherspoon style.

The bar itself is very plane, not much thought of design

was put into the construction and the aesthetic of the

bar. It provides the necessary service to the customers

that comes in the restaurant whether they are serving

drinks or food. They traditionally stayed with the dark

wood look which gives its uniqueness, in comparison toother pub and restaurant.

Floor and walls

Dark patterned carpet is the preferred selection of

flooring that Wetherspoons decides to go with.

Personally, the pattern is old fashions which may be

suitable for the environment that its in. The wall isanother matter. It seems like every piece of wall have

different colour and patterns on them. It is a cluster of

too many colours in area. There are also numerous

number of paintings and photos around the pub.

There is nothing wrong with timber and metal framed

stairs but again the choice of patterned carpet is slightly

boring.

Not much have changed from the transition from the ground floor the upper

level. The walls and floor remained the same with some different furniture.

The dining table here is rounded which aesthetically looks better.

The exterior completely have a different look towards

the interior of Wetherspoons. The terrace gives an open

feel to the restaurant its good for people who wants to

sit outside in the sun, relax and enjoy their meal or a

social chat.

Seats

Sets of outdoor tables and chairs arranged around the

terrace covering all the spaces. The seats made out of

timber with metal frame, so does the table. Aesthetically,

it blends in the surrounding very well, from the tiled

concrete floor and the mixtures of different type of

plants.

The toilet has its own theme and colour scheme. It have varnished wooden floors which gives it th

layout of the dining area is similar, in the aspect of the table and chairs used

floor does but it still provide that necessary space for each table.
