Activities before mobility
preparation of posters on fresh water in the Pleven region by the
Bulgarian team;
research on local and regional policies for fresh water in co-operation
with the National River Basin Directorate by the Bulgarian team;
preparation of Guideline leaflet for the partners to introduce them to
local sources of fresh water and their importance for the industry and
community by the Bulgarian team;
a quiz for students to test knowledge on fresh water (a quiz prepared by
the Bulgarian team);
preparation of basic conversation guide in Bulgarian prepared by the
Bulgarian team and sent to partners for linguistic and cultural
preparation.
Activities during mobility
visits to local dams so as to see how these reservoirs are important for
the crop;
presentation by Bulgarian students of local and regional policies for
rivers- The Vit, The Iskar, The Zlatna Panega and The Danube;
preparation of an e-booklet with the outcomes and conclusions of the
meeting with pictures and sketches made during the visits;

completion of the e-booklet A CASE STUDY : LOCAL AND
REGIONAL POLICY ON FRESH WATER AND ENDANGERED
SPECIES
translation of the e-booklet in each partner's national language;
evaluation of the mobility;
Bulgarian team writes an e-newsletter (in English and Bulgarian) about
the meeting;
French team writes minutes of the meeting;
dissemination of the project activities by all partners.

22nd April
Welcome to Foreign language School by students in folk costumes inviting the
guests to have a piece of traditional home-made bread; a short welcoming speech
by the deputy-headmaster Mrs Greta Dimova, followed by a guided tour around
school premises

Presentation of local and regional policies for the rivers in North Bulgaria : The

An excursion to Tryavna, a town with unique architecture and to Etar - an open-air
museum which shows how our craftsmen used water in the 18th and the 19th
century. Traditions and rituals before Easter – live presentation.
24th April
A day for visits to local rivers and dams.

25th April
A visit to Persina National Park , including: a short presentation, a short film in
English, a tour around the reserve and the most interesting of all - a visit to Persin
island on the Danube river with birdwatching of endangered species.

26th April
Meeting of co-ordinators at school and discussions on completion of the workplan
- Students from each team work on the booklet at school.
- Another group of students – a walk round the town and its famous sites. A
visit to Svetlin Rousev Art Gallery and a short lecture on the use of water
in Water Cascade
- A visit to Natural History Department of the Local Museum

26th April – The mobility programme included a most welcome visit to Pleven
Municipality and meeting The Mayor; Pleven Municipality is a major partner in
our activities on a regional level and mediator in our work with national and
regional institutions

STUDENTS FROM THIRD GRADE INVOLVED IN THE
PROJECT "WATER IS LIFE - LET'S PRESERVE IT" IN THE
REGIONAL ROUND OF THE NATIONAL OLYMPIAD IN CIVIC
EDUCATION
The students created brochures about water protection. They gave them to
parents, teachers, students.
