However he realised he made a major mistake and apologised to Imam Hussain (a.s).We all have made mistakes in the past but the most important thing is that we realise it is a mistake, and understand not to do it again and move on.

  • Imam Hussain (a.s) was an amazing person and treated everyone fairly, justly and kindly. On 2nd Muharram when the enemies needed water he gave it to them, even though he knew these people had come to fight him and his family. On Ashura Day when they were attacking him he kept telling them if they apologise and do tawbah and stop attacking him they will be forgiven.

Track the kindness you do in the name of Imam Hussain (a.s) everyday for the month of Muharram.

  • The tragedy of Karbala showed us the importance of water. We must all protect the environment by stopping the waste of water.

Put a tick in the second column each time you do a listed activity. Calculate each activity's total water use by multiplying the number of ticks by the number in the third column. For showers, multiply the total number of minutes spent in the shower by 5.
