問題点：インド東部において、原因不明のウイルス感染を原因とする急性脳炎症候群により、この数週間におよそ800人の

患者が発生し150人が死亡している。

インド東都のウッタルプラデシ（UttarPradesh）州で小児を死亡させている原因不明のウイルスは、インド保健省の専門

家らにより「acuteencephalitisByndrome；急性脳炎症候群」（PT；感染性脳炎）と診断された。ウッタルプラデシ州の13

の地区では、数週

血液検査で、毎年この地方で大きな流行が発生する日本脳炎が陽性となったのは5％以下である。

通常、感染流行中は、15－20％以上の検体が日本脳炎陽性となる。しかし、2008年は低率であることが混乱を生じている。

2008年、クッタルプラデシ州27地区の4000万人がJEワクチン接種を受けたが、なぜ発熱が抑えられなかったのかに専

門家らはとまどっている。中国製ワクチンSA14・14・2には問題はなく、WHOにより日本脳炎に対する防御作用が確認され

ている、と保健省当局者は癒べた。

日本脳炎陽性が5％以下であることから、日本脳炎と、2【）06年以来脳炎の原因となっている水系感染のエンテロウイルスと

の混合感染について調査が行われている。

本感染症にづいては、情報入手時点で病原因子は特恵されていない。病原因子が細菌類であれば本剤の製造工程中のイ無菌ろ過工程」

およびこ細菌よりも小さいウイルスの除去を目的とした平均孔径19nm以下の「ウイルス除去膜ろ過工程」により除去されるものと考え

られる。ま鞍癖原因子がウイルスであれば、■「血妹分画製剤のウイルスに対する安全性確俸に関するガイドライン（医薬発第1047号、

平成11年8雨0日）」に従ったウイルスプロセズバリデーションの療果から、病原因子は本剤の製造工程七おいて除去・不活化される 報告傘芦の意見 ことが検癒され■てヤ、早す以上めように、病原因子が細菌類あるいは既知のウイル不であれば、今回の感染症に対して本剤は一定の安全性

を確保していると考え争。また、未知のウイルスであっても、既存のウイルス除去・不倍化工程の効果が期待される。 魂時点で、感染症の漉行はインド国内のみで当該生物由来成分の原産国とは離れ七いる・ため、本剤への直接の影響はなく、緊急の安全

対顔の必要性もないと考えられるが、感染症は鱒期敵手爆発的に増加することがあるため、今後とも関連情報の収集に努め、本剤の安全

性の確保を図っていきたい。
