What is an IWT PhD Grant?

Duration• 4 years, (2+2: mid term evaluation after 24 months)

• Fulltime!

Principles• Grantholder

• Promoter

• IWT is employer (-> FWO)

• University is host (In co-operation with higher education institute, research institute…)

• Owns the research results!

Finance (-> FWO)

• Scholarship: € +2.000 netto/month (incl holiday and end-of-year bonus, allowance for commuting)

• Bench fee: € 3.700/year

• Doctoral bonus: € 1189,92 after 4 years when PhD is obtained

Start date• October 1st, November 1st, December 1st, Januari 1st 2016
