Dit is de schoolgids in kalendervorm voor het schooljaar 2019-2020. In deze kalender vindt u alle belangrijke informatie die u nodig heeft. Mochten er wijzigingen of toe-voegingen zijn, dan brengen wij u hiervan zo spoedig mogelijk op de hoogte.

MissieMaster Amiko wil een school zijn met een vriende-lijk, open en respectvol klimaat. Voor Master Amiko staat de leerling centraal; wij laten hen ervaren dat school een plaats is waar ze met plezier de Nederlandse taal en cultuur kunnen leren. Om dit te bereiken vinden wij het bieden van een veilige leeromgeving een vereiste: een toegankelijke plek, waar leerlingen zich welkom en geaccepteerd voe-len en waar ze waardering hebben voor elkaar en voor anderen. Dit vormt bij ons de basis waardoor de leerling tot leren kan komen.De school staat open voor alle leerlingen ongeacht achtergrond, godsdienst of cultuur. We vinden het belangrijk dat de leerling zijn eigen taal en identi-teit mag behouden; daarom accepteren en respec-teren wij het spreken van de eigen moedertaal. Dit is een essentieel onderdeel zodat zij van daaruit de Nederlandse taal en cultuur kunnen leren.Naast aandacht voor NT2-onderwijs zowel monde-ling als schriftelijk, vinden we het begeleiden van de sociaal-emotionele ontwikkeling belangrijk. Wij bieden passend onderwijs aan, waarbij elke leerling zich in zijn eigen tempo kan ontwikkelen en de lesstof aansluit op zijn niveau. Het uiteindelijke doel is dat elke leerling op Master Amiko zichzelf kan en mag zijn.
Visie De droom van Master Amiko is dat leerlingen met behoud van eigen achtergrond en cultuur hun schoolperiode succesvol doorlopen en daardoor maximale kansen meekrijgen voor hun toekomst.
Mission StatementIt is Master Amiko’s aim to provide a friendly, open and respectful environment. The wellbeing of our students is our priority. It is our aim that our students experience a positive surrounding, a place where they can learn the Dutch language and culture.
To achieve this, it is necessary to provide a good and safe learning environment, in which all students feel welcome and accepted and have respect for one another, a base on which students can learn.
Every student is welcome at Master Amiko, regardless of background, religion or culture. We believe it is important students can maintain their own language and identity. That is why we accept and respect the native language. This is a fundamental starting point for learning the Dutch language and customs.
In addition to give attention to the NT2 (Dutch as a second language) education, spoken as well as written. We think it’s important to guide the students in their social and emotional development. We offer a custom made education so each student can develop in his or her own pace and level.
Our primary goal for each student at Master Amiko is to feel free, welcome and be herself or himself.

We bieden de Nederlandse taal aan op vier vlakken: luisteren, spreken, lezen en schrijven. We gebruiken verschillende methodes passend bij de leeftijd en ontwikkeling van de kinderen. Op onze website www.masteramiko.nl zijn voorbeelden van deze methodes te vinden. Andere vakken die wij aanbieden zijn creatief, sociaal- emotionele ontwikkeling en bewegingsonderwijs. Leerlingen worden op basis van leeftijd ingedeeld in een groep.
CurriculumWe offer the Dutch language on four different aspects: listening, speaking, reading and writing. We use different methods that are appropriate to age and development of the students. On our website www.masteramiko.nl you can find examples of how these methods work.Other disciplines we teach are crafts, social- emotional development and gymnastics. Students are grouped according to age.

Birthday treats:It is a Dutch tradition in schools to celebrate a student’s birthday by taking a moment in the day to put them in the spotlight. During this time it is possible to bring birthday treats to share with class students
Traktaties:Wij zetten leerlingen die jarig zijn graag in het zonnetje. Daar past een feestelijk moment bij met een traktatie. Dat mag ook, want jarig zijn is feest!
Mobiele telefoon:Leerlingen mogen een mobiel mee naar school nemen. Dit is op eigen risico. De school is niet aansprakelijk voor ontstane schade of verlies. Tijdens schooltijd is de mobiel uitgeschakeld en wordt deze bij de leerkracht ingeleverd. Na school krijgen de leerlingen hun mobiel weer terug.
Mobile phones:Students are allowed to take their mobile phones to school, at their own risk. School is not liable for loss or damage. During school hours, students need to switch off their mobile phones and hand them over to the teacher. At the end of the school day students get their phones back.

Sport:Tijdens gym dragen de kinderen gepaste sportkleding. In de gymzaal is het dragen van sportschoenen verplicht. Schoenen met zwarte zolen zijn niet toegestaan. Voor meiden die een hoofddoek dragen, is het verplicht een speciale sporthoofddoek te dragen tijdens de sportlessen.
Sports:Students need to wear appropriate sportswear in the gym. Athletic shoes with white soles are mandatory. Shoes with black soles will not be permitted. For girls who wear a kerchief, it is mandatory to wear a special sport kerchief during the sport lessons.
