Voorwoord Voor u ligt de prospectus van BurgGolf Purmerend & Hampshire Golf Hotel Waterland. In deze uitgave vindt u uitgebreide informatie over de grootste golfaccommodatie van Nederland in al haar facetten. We zijn bijzonder trots onszelf winnaar te mogen noemen van de ‘World Golf Award’. Deze prijs laat zich het best vergelijken met wat de ‘Oscar’ betekent voor de filmindustrie.Bezoekers, zakenmensen, leden, greenfee-spelers …..lokaal, nationaal en internationaal …. vanuit heel de wereld is er op ons Resort gestemd als Netherlands’ Best Golf Hotel. Preface In front of you lies the prospectus of BurgGolf Purmerend & Hampshire Golf Hotel Waterland. In this issue you will find detailed information about Holland’s largest Golf Accommodation in all its facets. We are very proud being able to call ourselves winners of the ‘World Golf Award’. This prize is best to be compared with what the ‘Oscar’ means to the film industry.Visitors, business people, members, greenfee players ….. locally, nationally and internationally ….. from all over the world one has voted us to be The Netherlands’ Best Golf Hotel. The, for Holland, unique combination of golf, hotel, food & beverage, sport, congresses and parties is what differentiates us. We offer all that under one roof!

De 36 championship holes van BurgGolf Purmerend zijn verdeeld in vier lussen van 9 holes. Hierdoor zijn er zestien 18-holes combinaties mogelijk en dat is uniek in Nederland. Naast deze 36 holes beschikken we bovendien over een 9 holes par-3 golfbaan. Deze is uitermate geschikt voor het oefenen van het korte spel en wordt tevens vaak gebruikt door de beginnende golfer.

The 36 championship holes of BurgGolf Purmerend are divided into four loops of 9 holes. This makes it possible to have sixteen different 18-holes combinations which is unique in The Netherlands. Besides these 36 holes we also offer another 9 holes par-3 golf course. These are ideal for practising your short game and are also frequently used by beginners.

De vier PGA professionals bieden u tal van cursussen aan om alle onder-delenvan het golfspel te verfijnen. Zij maken niet alleen gebruik van eerder- genoemde 45 holes maar ook van de grote en deels overkapte driving range en alle andere oefenfaciliteiten. Bovendien assisteren zij u graag in onze goed geoutilleerde golfshop. Het sales team informeert u graag over de golflidmaatschapsvormen. The four PGA professionals offer you plenty of lessons to perfect all parts of the game of golf. They not only use the aforementioned 45 holes but also the large and partially covered driving range as well as all other practice facilities. Moreover, they are very happy to assist you in our well equipped golf shop. The sales team is keen to inform you about our golf membership possibilities.

European Challenge Tour Venue Het was Johan Edfors die, na vier dagen strijden, de European Challenge Tour Trophy omhoog mocht houden. En dat betekende de kickstart van zijn golfcarrière. Want in de jaren daarna behaalde hij nog tal van overwinningen op het allerhoogste niveau. Naast Johan Edfors bewaren ook wij mooie herinneringen aan dit op één na grootste golftoernooi van Nederland. Het maakt dat wij een officiële European Challenge Tour Venue zijn. It was Johan Edfors who, after 4 days of competing, held the European Challenge Tour Trophy up high. And that meant the kick-start of his golfing career. Because in the years after he went on to win many more tournaments on the highest level. Besides Johan Edfors, we also keep great memories of the second largest golf tournament of The Netherlands. It ensured that we are a European Challenge Tour Venue.

Voor de echte golfliefhebber is er natuurlijk niets mooiers dan zo vanuit de hotelkamer de golfbaan op te kunnen lopen. Het viersterren Hamphire Golf Hotel Waterland telt 100 kamers, onderverdeeld in doubles en twins en allen voorzien van wat je van een vier-sterrenhotel mag verwachten. Purmerend ligt centraal in Noord Holland en daarom is ons Resort de ideale uitvalsbasis voor tripjes in de omgeving.

Bezoek niet alleen Amsterdam maar ook de IJssel-meerdorpen als Volendam, Edam, Monnickendam en niet te vergeten de Zaanse Schans. En dit allemaal binnen een straal van twintig kilometer.

For the golf lover there is nothing more convenient than to step on to the golf course straight from your hotel room. The four star Hampshire Golf Hotel Waterland features 100 bedrooms, divided into doubles and twins and are equipped with all what one might expect from a four star hotel. Purmerend is centrally located in this part of The Netherlands and therefore our Resort is the ideal basis for your day trips.

Don’t just visit Amsterdam but also explore villages along the IJsselmeer coast like Volendam, Edam, Monnickendam, as well as the ‘Zaanse Schans’. All this within a radius of twenty kilometers.

Food & BeverageHet Resort kent verschillende eet- en drinkgelegenheden. In ‘Downstairs’ worden de meeste feesten gevierd, in Magnolia’s worden lunch en diner geserveerd, terwijl ‘King Fisher’ ideaal is voor het dagelijkse ontbijten en voor partijen van meer dan 100 gasten. De verschillende terrassen bieden u ongekende rust en uitzichten. De keukenbrigade weet wat ze doet en dat heeft Michelin in 2010 al ontdekt. Een vermelding in hun restaurantgids is dan ook al jarenlang een feit. En daar zijn we dan ook heel trots op! De bedienende medewerkers kennen hun product. Of het nu gaat om een wat simpeler gerecht of haute cuisine, zij voorzien u altijd van een goed advies. The Resort has several restaurants and bars. ‘Downstairs’ is ideal for celebrating parties, Magnolia’s is popular for lunch and dinner whereas ‘King Fisher’ is great to start your day with a full breakfast and seats groups over 100 guests. The terraces offer wonderful views as well as peace and tranquility. The kitchen brigade knows its trade which was also recognized by Michelin in 2010. A notification in their restaurant guide has been a fact ever since. Understandably that makes us very proud! The serving staff members will assist you with what- ever you need. From the more simple dish to haute cuisine, their service and advise is always much appreciated.

Evenementen / EventsHet Hotel-Resort biedt naast golf, kamers en eten en drinken ook zes prachtige vergaderzalen voorzien van alle technische snufjes. Moeiteloos kunnen ze worden omge-vormd tot feestgelegenheden. Dus heeft u iets te vieren, zakelijk of privé, bij ons bent u aan het juiste adres. En ook hier kijkt u altijd uit over onze golfbanen.

The Hotel-Resort also offers besides golf, bed rooms and food & beverage, six beautifully decorated and wonderfully equipped meeting rooms. Without any effort these rooms can be turned into a party venue or banquet room. Whether you have something to celebrate, either for business or pleasure, we will be glad to host your event. And even here, one always overlooks the golf courses.

Omgeving / SurroundingsBurgGolf Purmerend en het daarbij behorende hotel liggen bijzonder centraal gelegen voor leuke dagtripjes. Fietsen in Amsterdam, in klederdracht op de foto in Volendam, gerookte paling eten in Monnickendam of de kaasmarkt in Alkmaar bezoeken. Het is allemaal mogelijk binnen een straal van 20 kilometer. Het receptieteam is u graag van dienst met betrekking tot verdere informatie-voorziening. BurgGolf Purmerend and the associated hotel are ideally located for fun day trips. Cycling in Amsterdam, having your photo taken wearing traditional costumes in Volendam, eating smoked eal in Monnickendam or visiting the cheese market in Alkmaar. This is all feasible within a radius of 20 kilometers. The reception team is keen to assist you in regards to any further information you might need.

Fitness and pool table Voor inspannende ontspanning, na bijvoorbeeld een dag heerlijk te hebben gegolfd of erop uit te zijn geweest, beschikken wij onder andere over een professionele pooltafel. Mocht u (nog verder) willen sporten, dan is de fitnessruimte wellicht de oplossing waar u naar op zoek bent. Gezien het concept van Fit20 dient u wel van tevoren te reserveren. For strenuous leisure, for example after a day of golf or a day trip in the surrounding area, we offer a professional pool table. However, if you wish to endeavour (more) sports, then the fitness club is perhaps the solution you are looking for. Because of the concept of Fit20, reservations need to be made in advance.
