Biography Professor Olivier Baudoin Olivier Baudoin was born in France in 1973, grew up in Bordeaux and studied chemistry at the Ecole Nationale Sup erieure de Chimie de Paris (ENSCP,1995). He completed his PhD in 1998 in the group of Jean-Marie Lehn in Paris on the synthesis and study of cyclo- bisintercaland molecules. He then worked as a post-doctoral fellow with K. C. Nicolaou in the Scripps Research Institute (La Jolla). He joined the Institut de Chimie des Substances Naturelles in 1999 as a CNRS researcher and obtained his Habilitation diploma in 2004. In 2006, he was appointed as a Professor at the University of Lyon 1, and was promoted toFirst Class Professor in 2011. He was the re- cipient of the CNRS Bronze Medal in 2005, the Claude Dufour Prize in 2007, the Scholar Award (Prix Enseignant-Chercheur) of the French Chemical Society, Organic Division in 2010 and was nomi- nated as a junior member of Institut Universitaire de France (IUF) in 2009.
