PORTF Portfolio I Gerard van Kuijk I Grafisch vormgever-DTP’er-Nieuwe media Deze portfolio is specifiek gewijd aan diverse Philips campagnes waar ik aan gewerkt heb. Het was altijd een uitdaging om de concepten die gemaakt waren door te voeren in allerlei POS materiaal. Hier moesten meestal vrij complexe ontwerpen voor gemaakt worden die later uitgewerkt moesten worden in allerlei wereldtalen. Maar ook de vele beeldbewerkingen vereisten veel vakkennis. Vaak moesten er 3D presentaties gemaakt worden van displays, wobblers, standwanden, on product items op producten, displays gesitueerd in winkels, schappresentaties etc. De producten (vaak dummies) moesten soms zelf gefotografeerd worden om tot een goed resultaat te komen. Deze portfolio is specifiek gewijd aan diverse Philips campagnes waar ik aan gewerkt heb. Het was altijd een uitdaging om de concepten die gemaakt waren door te voeren in allerlei POS materiaal. Hier moesten meestal vrij complexe ontwerpen voor gemaakt worden die later uitgewerkt moesten worden in allerlei wereldtalen.

Maar ook de vele beeldbewerkingen vereisten veel vakkennis. Vaak moesten er 3D presentaties gemaakt worden van displays, wobblers, standwanden, on product items op producten, displays gesitueerd in winkels, schappresentaties etc.

De producten (vaak dummies) moesten soms zelf gefotografeerd worden om tot een goed resultaat te komen. Hierdoor heb ik ook veel ervaring opgedaan in de digitale fotografie.

Home Entertainment Toolkit 2011 Toolkit samenstellen voor de ‘Home Entertainment’ divisie van Philips.Zorgen voor een handzaam boekje met duidelijke structuur om producten makkelijk terug te vinden. Vervolgens moesten alle HR-beelden en toebehoren zoals infomercials, demonstratievideo’s en pictogrammen op een USB-stickje gezet worden en d.m.v. en deze handig bevestigen aan het boekje.

12 Philips DAP Drachten

1. Security

It is Security’s task to prevent unauthorized use and theft of Philips

property and to protect Philips’ reputation. The operating principle

of the site security system is to stop unauthorized persons from

entering the Philips site and Philips property from leaving the site,

unless this happens with approval from the general manager.

Only people who work on the site can enter the site by presenting

their ID badge to the card reader at the turnstiles or barriers.

People who do not work on the site have to report at the Security

lodge. They will not be allowed onto the site if they have not been

invited by or on behalf of the department manager.

Some doors on the site can only be opened with the ID badge if

you have the necessary authorization. If you have to enter such a

room or area but are not authorized, make an appointment with

someone who is authorized to give you access.

The use of PCs and laptops, especially when they are used to access

or surf the Internet or to establish a modem connection, is bound to

strict rules (also see Code of conduct and Safety rules).

2. Working conditions (Occupational health and safety)

Our starting point is:

“Philips DAP Drachten is a safe and healthy company where

employees feel valued and like to work.”

Philips considers it a duty to provide safe and healthy working

conditions for its employees. This is the reason why the company

pays a lot of attention to safe workspaces, to minimizing workloads

and unhealthy conditions, and giving special training to employees

dealing with dangerous tasks. Where possible, we go beyond what

the law requires.

To be able to work healthily and safely, you should be aware of the

risks to your own health and safety. You should also know how to

deal with these risks. The relevant safety rules can be found further

down in this booklet.

Philips says NO to harassment

Bullying, badgering and other forms of intimidation also occur

in the workplace. Philips considers this type of behavior totally

unacceptable. As an employer, Philips wants to create a fair, safe and

pleasant work environment for its employees in which colleagues

collaborate in a professional and respectful manner. Philips clearly

says NO to harassment!

Harassment in the workplace is when an employee is physically or

psychologically pestered, feels threatened or attacked in a work-

related situation. Harassment occurs when one person oversteps

the boundaries of another. Every human being determines his/her

own boundaries. What one person considers funny may be offensive

or humiliating to another person.

If you are bothered by harassment, contact one of the anti-

harassment counselors appointed by Philips. These counselors

are independent colleagues who can help solve the problem. In a

confi dential meeting, you can tell your side of the story and hear

what another thinks of the situation. Are you oversensitive or is the

other’s behavior really going too far? Sometimes such a meeting

is enough to solve the matter. The counselor may also suggest

solutions and arrange mediation. All steps taken need your approval

and you can count on the counselor’s discretion.

If it proves impossible to stop the harassment together with an anti-

harassment counselor or a mediator, or if the harassment is really

serious, you have to lodge an offi cial complaint against the harasser.

Your anti-harassment counselor can help you. This complaint must

be submitted in writing and non-anonymously to the complaint

committee by sending it to Ms. A. E. Wehmeijer of HRM

(extension 2638).

The complaint committee will summon all parties concerned to a

session behind closed doors and ask them to tell their side of the

story. Complainant, defendant and witnesses are obliged to appear.

The committee passes a verdict within six weeks. If they consider

the complaint well-founded, sanctions will be imposed. The nature of

these sanctions depends on the seriousness of the complaint.
