Liaise with the project’s work stream managers to creating, update and progress baseline schedule plans that represent activities required to successfully deliver key project / scheme milestones, being aware of interface activities as appropriate

Construction & Project Management Responsibilities Monitor the Contractor’s progress of projects on site and keep in contact with the

clients and Community Committees and Councilors Refer significant queries on design or engineering matters to the Design Engineer

together with the approval of materials & alternative design proposals as required.

Apply relevant and applicable clauses of General Conditions of Contract to the project. Liaise with the Contractors’ Site Agent with regard to all aspects of the works.

Ensure that the Contractor and his staff understand the obligations under the OHS Act.

Assist with Environmental Management of the Contractors work.

Communicate with the public via the Community Liaison Officer and reports to the Engineer when necessary.

Liaise with the relevant Local Authority and Service providers to co-ordinate the alteration or relocation of their services.

Attend and /or chair formal site meetings with the Contractor and Client.

Prepare draft minutes of Technical and/or Site Meetings. Maintain a site diary

Monitor materials testing on-site and off-site. Issues Site instructions to the Contractor.

Plan and program diversion of traffic and re-location of services. Monitor progress as per approved construction program and negotiates rectification of

delays and work not scheduled.

Check and certify monthly payment certificates for payment by the Client. Agree measurement of quantities with the Contractor.

Maintain a costing system to monitor costs to date and the project final contract value.

Prepare Variation Orders for approval by the Engineer and Client

Assist the Engineer with the preparation of a list of outstanding works for the progression to Completion Certificate and issues to all concerned.

Arrange the completion of “as built” drawings and Construction Report. Prepare Monthly Progress and Technical Report Examine and measure excavations,

Require the Contractor to repair and make good any damage to the work. Requests Accident report (if any accident occurred)
