    Delegations from the school participated in various Inter-school events:

    1. The Mayo Team comprising five students, namely Vaibhav Agarwal, Vidant Kumar Agarwal, Krishnanshu Sharma, Pavit Maheshwari and Vedansh

    Mittal, participated in RajKumar College Rajkot IPSC Service Project from 19th to 23rd December, 2017. The team was escorted by Mr. Paresh Mahawar. All the students were divided into 3 groups and taken to the Khakhana village, which

    has been adopted by the Rajkumar College. Three tasks were taken up:

    To construct a cement road to connect the village school to the main village road.

    To prepare a small three-step pavilion

    To decorate the classrooms with paintings

    2. A delegation from Mayo College, attended the Regional (SA &Gulf) Round Square Service Project at The Scindia School, Gwalior from 19th to 24th December, 2017. Delegations from 6 regional schools attended the conference. Anand Bagla, Shreyan Dhiliwal, Tejsimar Singh Bhatia, Aryan Agarwal, Shrit Gupta and Jasraj Singh Bhaizada participated in this service project. They were escorted by Mr. Kamlesh Kumar.

    3. Two boys, Vedansh Goyal and Raghav Agrawal, attended the Round Square Big Build Project held in Vietnam from 9th to 21st December, 2017. Schools from all over the world participated in the program.

    At the intra-school level, apart from the annual Community lunch on 2nd October, the following other activities were organised:

    The boys, staff and General Council members planted a large number of tree saplings all over the campus as a step towards a green and healthy campus.

    Various Intra-House activities initiated by the house staff and students regularly took place on Sundays and holidays, which included activities like weeding, sapling and kitchen garden plantations.

    Cricket and Football matches were played between physically-challenged students and Mayo boys.

    Many events took place at Senior High Secondary School, Kanakheri. The school was adopted by Mayo college General Council in 2009 at the Round Square International Conference held at Mayo.

    On Sunday, 20th August 2017, eighteen boys of Mayo College performed a street play called Goonj, directed by Mrs. Tripti Pareek (Teacher in the Hindi department). The venue was the busy and well-crowded areas of Ajmer-Bajrangarh and new Ana Sagar Chaupati. The aim of the street play was to create awareness among the youth.

    On 24th August 2017, twenty-two boys of our

    school visited Bhudool village. They were escorted by Mr. Paresh Mahawar and Mr. Virendra Sharma. They visited Government Senior Secondary School in the village. Some boys displayed a series of yogic postures, while the rest enacted the street play Goonj. Thereafter, they visited Saraswati Senior Secondary School, a private school in the same village, where the boys enacted the street play and interacted with the students. Before the students bade goodbye to them, they presented a few saplings as a token of love and remembrance.

    In a bid to improve the educational and infrastructural level of the neighborhood schools, twenty boys from class XI went to the adopted school at Kanakheri. The students worked hand in hand to clean and paint the walls of the school in an endeavour to elevate their academic surroundings The students of both the schools also took part in weeding.

    On 4th October 2017, thirty boys of Mayo College visited the Government Senior Secondary School, Kanakheri. The Chief Guest for the function was Head Master Senior School, Mr. Pramod Ranwaka and the Bursar, Col. Alankar Bharadwaj (Retd.), was the Guest of Honour. The motive of this visit was to spread the joy of gifting. We gifted the school fifty tables and chairs, two water tankers, 2 computers, 2 carpets, 2 boards, both black and white, 10 dustbins and 10 fans.

    The village Sarpanch, Pradhan and other senior members of the Kanakheri village administration were some of the special invitees at the event.

    In the same month, the Social Service Captain Pranit Gupta, along with our Social Service Coordinator Mr. Paresh Mahawar, visited the same school to conduct classes using modules and videos as tools of learning.

    In the month of November, Tejasv Mehra, (class XI) took a session of yoga for the children of class IX at the school at Kanakheri. He taught the students various Asanas and discussed about various benefits of yoga.

    In the same visit, Mrs. Shalini Bhatnagar (HOD Chemistry) demonstrated some practical experiments in Chemistry to the students of class XII of the school.
