Marcia Blumberg is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Open University. Sheholds a post-doctoral fellowship from the Social Sciences and HumanitiesResearch Council of Canada and is working on diverse stagings and repre-sentations of ADDS. In 1996 she worked as a Research Fellow in SouthAfrican Theatre at the Open University. She is co-editing with Dennis WalderSouth African Theatre As/And Intervention and is completing a book,Engendering Intervention in Contemporary South African Theatre. She taughtin the English department at York University, Toronto and has publishedwidely on contemporary theatre, in particular the plays of Athol Fugard.

Louise Cilliers is sedert 1985 professor en hoof van die Departement Latynaan die Universiteit van die Oranje-Vrystaat. Sy het aan die Universiteit vanPretoria, die Randse Afrikaanse Universiteit en die Rijksuniversiteit te Leidenstudeer. 'n Twintigtal artikels oor 'n wye verskeidenheid onderwerpe,waaronder veral die Griekse en Romeinse drama, en twee boeke het reeds uithaar pen verskyn. Die vertaling en uitleg van Aristoteles se Poetika wat sy insamewerking met E.L. de Kock geskryf het, is in 1992 met die Akademieprysvir Vertaalde Werk bekroon.

Yvette Hutchison het haar M.A.-graad in Engels by Stellenbosch verwerf. Syis tans besig met haar PhD. Sy probeer om die Suid-Afrikaanse teater te kon-tekstualiseer in die Afrika geskiedenis. Sy is verbonde aan die Sentrum virTeaternavorsing aan die Universiteit van Stellenbosch. Vir die jaar 1997 hetsy 'n DAAD beurs van die Duitse regering gekry om een jaar in die Institutfuer Afrikastudie in Bayreuth onder prof Eckhard Breitinger deur te bring. In1995 het sy Open Space met Kole Omotoso gepubliseer (Kagiso). Dis is 'nvoorstelling van ses Afrika dramas in Engels (van hulle is uit Frans en Arabiesvertaal). Sy is ook assistent redaktrise van SA Theatre Journal waarin sy ook'n paar artikels gepubliseer het. Sy was ook die Suid-Afrikaanse korrespondentvir die International Bibliography of Theatre in New York.

Dr Marisa Keuris is a lecturer in the Department Theory of Literature atUnisa. She is the author of three books: Dramateorie vandag (1989); Diedramateks: 'n handleiding (Van Schaik, 1996) and The Play: A Manual (VanSchaik, 1996). The Play has been translated into Northern Sotho (Tiragatso,1997) and is also in the process of being translated into Zulu and Xhosa.

Alet Kruger is lecturer in Translation Studies in the Department of Linguisticsat Unisa. She has published a number of articles on various aspects oftranslation and is responsible for annually updating the "Southern AfricanBibliography of Translation, Interpreting, Lexicography and Terminology".She is interested in comparative, sosiocultural approaches to literarytranslation and is enrolled for a doctorate on lexical cohesion in translation,investigating a corpus of Shakespeare translations into Afrikaans.

Prof Mike Prins is hoof van die Departement Afrikaans aan die Universiteitvan Fort Hare. Hy stel belang in die Afrikaanse prosa en drama asook in dieprosa en dramateorie. Hy is reeds baie jare lank medewerker van TydskrifvirLetterkunde en Klasgids. Talle artikels uit sy pen het ook in ander vak-tydskrifte verskyn. Hy het ook bydraes tot huldigingsbundels gelewer.

Mr H.J. Vermeulen is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Afrikaans andNederlands at the University of Natal, Pietermarizburg. Academically hepublished articles and study guides on some radio and stage plays. On thecreative side a play called "Bus-Stop", poetry and short stories were alsopublished by him. His main interest is the intertextual relation between drama,psychoanalysis, semiotics and critical studies.

P.C. van der Westhuizen is 'n dosent in die Departement Algemene Linguis-tiek en Literere Studies aan die Universiteit van die Noorde. Hy is 'n gereeldeboekresensent vir Beeld, en is tans besig met doktorale studies in die Alge-gemene Literatuurwetenskap oor die parodie en pastiche in die postmoder-nistiese drama/teater aan die Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.
