BC PavCo FOI correspondence

description

This document contains correspondence demonstrating BC PavCo's continued disregard for the law. PavCo’s incomplete FOI response describes on-going attempts by the PavCo leadership to continue withholding the true identity of the owner/operator of the giant video screen at Terry Fox Plaza - this despite Freedom of Information laws requiring that PavCo disclose all related documentation. Interestingly, the limited response provided by PavCo confirms that “there are no records” with respect to revenues earned from the screen’s Telus, Budweiser and Pepsi advertisements, confirming what has been suspected for months: that a third party is collecting those revenues instead. Also confirmed is that PavCo has “no records related to” ownership of the screen, confirming that BC PavCo is not the owner of the screen either. Finally, in a floundering attempt to lay blame elsewhere, PavCo insinuates that its “preferred Telecommunications partner” (presumably Telus Corporation) is in possession of the ownership records.
