    After nine years of planning, Dr.Steve Mills woke up excited onThursday.The University Center of South-ern Oklahoma director, along withthe board of trustees, announcedthe public portion of the capitalcampaign following the board'sregular meeting."I've had this job for nine years

"For nineyears of my tenure, we've beenworking on this project?'The project is a new campus forUC, which will be located on MountWashington Road, north of its cur-rent location on Veterans Boule-vard.     Following a summer-long layoff, the SouthernOklahoma Leaders Lun-cheon grew in popularityas seating was filled to ca-pacity for the Septemberevent at the Ardmore Con-vention Center.The featured speakerwas Maria Robles Meyers,who discussed the PatientProtection and AffordableCare Act (Obamacare).Bryan Gonterman, presi-dent of AT&T Oklahomapresented the businesshighlight.Gonterman discussedthe addition of 4G LTE,the latest in wireless tech-nology, to the Ardmorearea. The addition, whichwill benefit both businessand individual users, willoffer benefits as technologydrives progress forward.Gonterman said AT&Thas recorded an increaseof 30,000 percent in mo-bile data usage, which isexpected to continue torise as people continuallyuse smartphones and otherwireless devices.
