University Community TransformationCentre (UCTC), UPM serves as thecoordinator for university communityprograms under the University ForSociety (U4S), Ministry of Education,Malaysia. It recognizes UPM as apremier facilitator for extensionactivities. Based on UPM's Strategic Plan2014-2020, UCTC UPM is responsible tolead UPM's 3rd Goal: Upscaling Industryand Community Engagement.

‘The clinic which was established by IslamicMedical Association of Malaysia, Children andTeen’s Super Team (IMACATS) and UPM intraining the medical students and doctor to beindependent volunteers. The aim of TBH isprimarily to reduce anxiety among children,especially pre-school children on medical staffand medical equipment that are found in healthinstitutions.’

‘The disposal of waste is a serious social problemwhich is faced by the residents of KampungChangkat in Gombak, Selangor which is due largely tothe lack of interests and care by the community. TheInstitute of Social Science Studies (IPSAS) in UPMfeels obligated to assist in enhancing the awarenessof the local community on the danger of the Aedesmosquito and steps to dispose the mosquito. Theoutcome of the program is hoped to be able to curbthe spread of the dengue fever among thecommunity.’

Culinary Course (AADK) – UCTC
• 27 – 30 August 2019 – Skilled DevelopmentProgramme AADK – UCTC UPM. The production ofvariety of noodles and cooking (home made) whichwas attended by 24 culinary staff from the NationalAnti-Drug Agency. This is a joint-venture programmebetween University Community TransformationCentre (UCTC UPM) and L’apprenti UPM and theFaculty of Food Science and Technology UPM whichfocuses on the production of noodles, food paste,cooking and preparation of a variety of noodle typeswith interesting culinary presentation.
TRADEC’19• Trading Entrepreneurship Challenge (TRADEC’19) has officially ended at the Hi Tea Reception which was held on 12 September 2019 at Seroja Hall, Tenera Hotel, Bandar Baru Bangi.

Management of Poultry Farm
16-17 December 2019: The Management ofChicken Poultry Farm and Good AnimalHusbandry Practice course. The knowledgesharing session by UPM experts with themanagement staff of D’Khairan Farm Sdn.Bhd. Mr. Khalidin Alang has also participatedin sharing his experiences and challenges inmanaging the livestocks. It is hoped that theknowledge that has been shared anddelivered during the session has benefited thefarm management and the local community.
PUTRA4LESTARIUniversiti Putra Malaysia, through the UniversityCommunity Transformation Centre (UCTC UPM)through the cooperation of its strategic partner,Department of Veterinar Services (JPV) at theState of Perak has conducted the 2nd Phase ofthe PUTRA4LESTARI programme on 9 October2019.
The PUTRA4LESTARI programme is a monitoringprogramme to evaluate the effectiveness of theknowledge transfer programme which has beenconducted by JPV and UPM through the PutraKnowledge Transfer Programme (PUTRAPIL) whichwas held in April 2019.
The main focus of the programme is to enhancethe output and the quality of the ruminenfarming and poultry in the state of Perak throughthe effective management of farms. A total of 8individuals from UPM, comprising of experts andsecretariats from the various disciplines haveattended the programme to help and to transferknowledge to the targeted poultry entrepreneurcommunity.
