Hartelijk dank!Op zaterdag 6 februari 2010 vond in het hart van Utrecht A Struggle for Peace plaats, een congres over mensenrechten, globalisering en ontwikkeling. Zo’n duizend bezoekers maakten een dag mee vol lezingen, debatten, workshops, fi lms en cultuur, met meer dan zestig sprekers van internationale allure. De gezamenlijke inzet van alle betrokken sprekers, bezoekers, vrijwilligers, fondsen en partners heeft deze dag tot een groot succes gemaakt.

De bedoeling van dit boekje is om nog eens een impressie van de congresdag te geven. Als een herinnering, maar hopelijk ook als een aanmoediging om uw betrokkenheid bij de bevordering van mensenrechten verder te verbreden en te verdiepen. Veel leesplezier!

Thanks a lot!On Saturday 6 February 2010, in the heart of Utrecht, A Struggle for Peace took place, a conference on human rights, globalisation and development. About one thousand visitors experienced a day full of lectures, debates, workshops, fi lms and culture, with over sixty speakers of international renown. The joint effort of all involved speakers, visitors, volunteers, funds and partners has made this day a great success.

The purpose of this booklet is to give you an impression of the day of the conference. As a reminder, but hopefully also as an encouragement to further broaden and deepen your engagement with human rights advancement. Happy reading!

A Struggle for Peace is tot stand gekomen dankzij de steun, betrokken-heid en inzet van een groot aantal partnerorganisaties. Naast de subsidie-verstrekkende organisaties, die ook op vele andere manieren actief betrokken waren bij de voorbereidingen, gaat bijzondere dank uit naar Amnesty International, COS Utrecht, het Centre for the Humanities (UU) en het Studie- en Informatiecentrum Mensenrechten (UU).
