love butterfies and hummingbirds. Can you suggest a ew low maintenance perennials that will give me the most entertainment?  A. Tere are a number o perennials that both “entertainers” love.One o my top picks is a Low and Behold butterfy bush. Its dwar 

size (3-4’ tall) boasts long lasting color. Caryopteris is shrub-likeand has blue fowers rom early summer through all, ew insect ordisease problems and requires less watering than most. A ew taller,multiplying avs are Liatris, Purple Conefower, and Monardia

(Beebalm). Remember, these DO spread so be ready to have a ew riends over once a year to have lunch and a perennial git. RedHot Poker is absolutely striking! A ew lower growers I love areColumbine and Coreopsis. Tese two plants make excellent borders.

Te Coreopsis will give you a great hit o yellow rom early summerto late all. Te Columbine has a spring bloom but really nice, airy oliage. You could use any of these in a container but they may not over-winter. A ew annuals that attract both are Verbena, Ageratum,
