About Recupel

History

• Recupel vzw was founded in 2001

• On initiative of and managed by the industry

• Collective system for collection and recycling of Waste Electrical and Electronic Appliances (WEEE)

• Offers a national solution for the take-back obligation as described in the European WEEE Directive

• Servicing 7 sectorial organisations

• Sectorial organisations take strategic decisions on

• budget, fee, scope, a.o.

• with Recupel acting as the executive organisation
