FLEX RATES AND INCLUSIONS

WHAT ARE JUCY FLEX RATES

The Flex rates allow JUCY to offer flexible pricing and gives our partners the opportunity to secure the

best possible rate at the time of booking. The Flex system is based on a very simple system of supply

and demand, therefore if there are large numbers of fleet available at a branch then the rate will be

lower and if there is limited availability at any branch the rate will be higher.

All daily rates are calculated in $NZD and include 15% GST

Rate resets apply every 7th day

MULTIPLE RENTALS

A 5% multiple hire discount applies to any customer who hires a JUCY vehicle consecutively within a 3-

month period in USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

If drop off of a JUCY vehicle and pickup of the new vehicle occurs on the same day, then a day will be

charged for each vehicle. Multiple rentals are considered separate rentals under the one-way and

minimum rental period conditions and the discount will apply from the 2nd booking onwards.

DISCOUNTED JUCY PRODUCTS

At JUCY we are more than just cars and campervans and we love to reward our customers with

discounted pricing on our other JUCY brands. A discount of 10% applies on every JUCY snooze booking

where the stay commences 3 days before, during or 3 days after. Main driver of the JUCY rental go free

on JUCY Milford cruise booking, where the tour commences during the JUCY vehicle hire. (please note

discount applies to boat tour only).

TRANSFERS JUCY operates a free Airport shuttle to our Auckland Airport, Wellington Airport and Christchurch

Airport locations during opening hours.

Once the customers arrive at the airport and have cleared customs and collected their baggage they

need to call JUCY on 0800 399 736 (NZ Freephone) and select option 1 to arrange a shuttle transfer. The

latest shuttle run from the airport is 30 minutes before closing.

Customer collecting a vehicle from our Queenstown Airport location can do so by visiting our in

terminal airport desk. DRIVER’S LICENCE AND MINIMUM AGE Drivers must be 18 years of age or over. A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required and

must be produced upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other than English,

it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the

driver’s licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in Lieu of an international

driver’s licence.

BOOKING DURATION A standard minimum hire period of 5 days applies to all JUCY bookings unless communicated otherwise

via email. JUCY minimum hire periods are set based on supply, demand and distribution and are subject

to change at short notice.

CREDITCARD COSTS, EXCHANGE RATES, FEES AND TAXES

The premium location fee covers the operating costs associated with being on airport premises for the

convenience of our customers and is charged based on the pick-up location.

All Camper bookings dropping off or picking up from Queenstown Airport will be charged a

Queenstown Location fee of $95

ROAD USER CHARGE FEES

In New Zealand diesel vehicles are charged a levy on distance travelled on NZ roads, road user charges

are fees are calculated on the return of the vehicle and are based on kilometre travelled

RUC Fee $0.062 per kilometre

EXCHANGE RATE / CURRENCY VARIATIONS

All transactions are conducted in New Zealand dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, there could

be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged.

INFRINGEMENTS AND ADMINISTRATION FEES

Customers are responsible for paying all parking citations, tolls, fines and other fees/penalties

associated with their hire. There will be an NZ $60 infringement fee and NZ $30 toll fee for all

tolls/infringements that are processed by JUCY New Zealand.

ONE-WAY BOOKINGS JUCY allows our customers the flexibility of returning their campervans to a different location to where

they collected from. Please see

applicable one-way fees below

For Pick-ups between 1st May and 30th September:

A one-way fee of NZ $100 applies where the pick up originates from the North island and

returns to the South Island

A one-way fee of NZ $50 applies where pick up originates from Christchurch to Queenstown or

vice versa

A one-way fee of NZ $50 applies where the pick up originates from Auckland and returns to

Wellington.

For Pick-ups between 1st October and 30th April:

A one-way fee of NZ $250 applies where the pick up originates from the North Island and return

to the South Island

A one-way fee of NZ $150 applies where the pick up originates from the South Island to the

North Island

A one-way fee of NZ $75 applies where the pick up originates from Christchurch to Queenstown

or vice versa

A one-way fee of NZ $200 applies where the pick up originates from Auckland and returns to

Wellington

INSURANCE

BOND

To keep this simple – if the customer chooses to go with the risk taker option the bond payment will

depend on the vehicle type chosen.

The bond payment will be debited to the credit card on collection of the vehicle. The credit card holder

must be present and able to sign of the bond at the time of collection. The bond, and associated credit

card fees are fully refundable provided the terms are met. The campervan simply needs to be returned

on time and full of fuel to the JUCY location booked. Credit card refunds including bond refunds can

take up to 14 working days depending on the customers bank.

If there is damage to the campervan on its return or any other terms of the rental contract have not

been met, the bond will be used to cover the cost up to relevant liability. If the terms of rental contract

are breached, and the bond is insufficient to cover the damage, any extra costs will be charged.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

For peace of mind, JUCY strongly recommend that all of our customers take the highest level of private

travel insurance.

JUCY NEW ZEALAND EXCESS LIABILITY OPTIONS

NOTE

• For hires of 51 days and over, a maximum of 50 days excess reduction premium will be charged.

• JUCY’s excess reduction options are null and void if any of the Rental Agreement terms and conditions are breached , in which case hirer will be liable for the full cost of damage. For more information please

see JUCY Ts & Cs.

• It is hirer's responsibility to collect accurate third party details in the event of an accident, regardless of

what excess reduction cover hirer has taken, and regardless also of fault.

• If Stress Free Plus excess reduction is not taken, and roof/rooftop pod damage or single vehicle rollover

incident occurs, a charge of up to $5,000 will apply to cover damage to the JUCY vehicle and any third

party vehicle and/or property.

• Road user surcharges:

- RUC’s are duty/tax that is payable to the NZTA on diesel fueled vehicles, which goes towards the

upkeep of New Zealand’s roads. This is charged retrospectively on a user pays basis. Duty on

petrol fueled vehicles on the other hand is collected at the point of sale as part of the total fuel

purchase price.

- RUC charges will be collected from the hirer at the end of the hire for Coaster and Compass

campers where you have booked Stress Free or Risk Taker excess reduction. RUC charges will also

apply to Stress Free Plus excess reduction bookings (for Coaster and Compass) made on/after the

1st August 2019 for pick-ups on/after the 1st April 2020.

- For guidance; as at July 2019, the RUC rate was $0.072 cents per kilometer (i.e. $72.00 per

1,000km). This is subject to change at NZTA discretion however, so JUCY reserves the right to

adjust the RUC charge rate that we pass on to hirers in accordance with NZTA rate changes. • If Risk Taker excess reduction is chosen:

- A bond to cover the excess will be pre-authorised for security on the hirer’s credit card for the

duration of the rental, even if hirer has alternative insurance with another provider. All or part of

this bond will be claimed by JUCY in the event of an accident and will be retained until the value

of the damage is determined. Any balance between the bond and the damage cost will be

returned as soon as is practical.

- Any costs to repair damage caused by a third party may not be recoverable as insurance is not

compulsory in New Zealand.

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS We are happy for our customers to roam far and wide, but we do have some restrictions. The vehicle

should not be used in any offroad conditions including unsealed/unformed roads (being a road not

sealed with hard material such as tar, bitumen or concrete), fire trails, beaches, sand, tracks, fields or

paddocks. The only exception to this is reasonable use of access roads to recognised commercial

campgrounds up to 12 kilometres.

CHANGES & CANCELLATIONS

AMENDMENT POLICY

Before collection of the vehicle: JUCY understands that sometimes things change. If this is the case, any

amendments made to a booking will be calculated by using the higher one of two rates, either the

original Flex rate or the Flex rate current at the time of the booking alteration.

Any amendments to the category are considered a new booking and cancellation fees may apply to the

new booking. The first booking amendment will incur no charge. Any subsequent changes are charged

at $25 per amendment request.

After collection of the vehicle: Amendments to the drop off location after the rental has commenced

must be approved by JUCY, if approved one-way fees may apply.

Rental extensions whilst on hire must be approved by JUCY and are subject to availability.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In case of a cancellation, the below terms apply:

If cancelled 91+ days prior to pick up – No fee (booking deposit refundable)

If cancelled 90 to 22 days prior to pick up – 10% of the Rental

If cancelled 21 to 7 Days prior to pick up – 20% of the Rental

If cancelled 6 to 1 days prior to pick up – 50% of the Rental

If cancelled on day of pick up or no show – 100% of the Rental

If the vehicle is returned early there is no refund for unused hire days.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

CHANGE OF CAMPERVAN

We understand that our customers’ needs are different and therefore our Campervans can be requested

by category, however not by make or model. We always do our best to accommodate requests,

however should the campervan booked be unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we will

substitute the booked campervan with an alternative available campervan at the time of pick-up, at no

extra cost. Any changes made to the booked campervan and agreed to by the customer do not entitle

the customer to a refund. In the event of no alternative campervan being available to the customer,

JUCY’s liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge.

CUSTOMER OBLIGATIONS

JUCY reserves the right to refuse any rental at our discretion.

Vehicles are provided in a clean and tidy manner and should be returned in a similar state. Animals and

smoking are not permitted in the vehicle. A cleaning fee of up to $250 for general cleaning and up to

$500 for grey water/toilet cleaning may apply.

If the vehicle is returned late, a full hire day applies for each day until the vehicle is returned.

An additional unauthorised extension fee of up to $500 may apply.

There are no refunds for early return and additional fees will apply if the vehicle is returned to

an alternative location without prior approval from JUCY in writing.

With Risk Taker and Stress Free cover - if the vehicle is involved in a single-vehicle rollover, or

the roof(also rooftop pod) of the vehicle is damaged because of any single vehicle incident or

accident, the hirer is liable for costs up to $5000.

Failure to return the vehicle full of petrol, diesel and/or LPG tanks (where applicable) will incur

a $20 administration fee as well as the cost of refill.

JUCY should be notified of any accident, mechanical breakdown, or equipment failure within 24

hours of it occurring JUCY does not cover loss or damage to any personal belongings.

The hirer is liable for all costs associated in replacing keys which have been lost, broken or

damaged and/or the cost of retrieval of keys which have been locked inside a vehicle. Please

note a replacement key could be up to $1000 plus associated costs to the event.

JUCY New Zealand trade rental rates and conditions are subject to change without notice.

JUCY New Zealand Car & Camper Terms and Conditions are the governing terms of the customers hire.

This document is a summary of some of the JUCY rental conditions available when the hire is collected.
