Building Energy receives visit from South African Minister of International Relations and Cooperation

Maite Nkoana-Mashabane guest of the Italian company that built in South

Africa one of the biggest solar parks in the African continent.

Milan, October 19th 2015 – Building Energy, multinational company operating as Global Integrated IPP in the

Renewable Energy Industry, received the visit of Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, South African Minister of

International Relations and Cooperation, at its headquarters in Milan. The meeting confirms the attention that

the South African Government pays to the companies operating in their Country, such as Building Energy.

Through its office in Cape Town, the Italian Group manages and coordinates the development and realization of

more than 30 projects in South Africa and central Africa, among which the Kathu solar farm and the Mkuze

biomass plant.

In Kathu, in the Northern Cape, South Africa, Building Energy built an 81 MW photovoltaic plant, which has been

operating since August 2014 and is one of the biggest solar park in the continent. In 2013 the company won the

commission for the construction of a biomass plant with a capacity of 14 MW in Mkuze, the first and largest

biomass plant in Africa. In April 2015, moreover, Building Energy was awarded preferred bidder status in the round

four of South Africa’s REIPPP programme for the development of a 140 MW wind project in Roggeveld, in an

area between the Northern and Western Cape Provinces and a 4.7 MW small-hydro project in Kruisvallei, in

the Free State Province.

Building Energy has recently been center stage in a number of exchange initiatives with the South African

Government. In July 2014, the company supported the creation of a mural dedicated to Mandela in Milan,

which was given by the municipality of Milan to the South African Government to celebrate twenty years of

freedom and democracy in the Country. In May 2015, Building Energy sponsored the African Utility Week and

Clean Power Africa in Cape Town, global conference and trade exhibition in the power and water utility industry.

In October 2014 and 2015, moreover, the Company took part in the South Africa-Italy Summit organized in Cape

Town by The European House - Ambrosetti.

Building Energy riceve la visita del Ministro delle Relazioni Internazionali e della Cooperazione del Sudafrica

Maite Nkoana-Mashabane ospite dell’azienda italiana che ha realizzato in

Sudafrica uno dei più grandi impianti fotovoltaici del continente

africano.

Milano, 19 ottobre 2015 – Building Energy, multinazionale che opera come Global Integrated IPP nel settore

delle energie rinnovabili, ha ricevuto la visita di Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Ministro delle Relazioni

Internazionali e della Cooperazione del Sudafrica, presso i propri uffici di Milano. L’incontro conferma

l'attenzione del Governo Sudafricano nei confronti delle aziende che, come Building Energy, operano nel Paese.

Il gruppo italiano, attraverso la propria sede di Cape Town, gestisce e coordina lo sviluppo e la realizzazione di più

di 30 progetti in Sud Africa e centro Africa tra i quali l'impianto fotovoltaico di Kathu e quello a biomasse di Mkuze.

A Kathu, nel Northern Cape, in Sudafrica, Building Energy ha realizzato un impianto fotovoltaico dalla capacità

di 81 MW operativo dall’agosto 2014, che è attualmente uno dei più grandi del continente africano. Nel 2013 la

società ha vinto la commessa per la costruzione a Mkuze del primo e più grande impianto a biomasse

dell’Africa, della capacità di 14 MW. Ad aprile 2015, inoltre, Building Energy si è aggiudicata la commessa

nell’ambito del quarto round del programma governativo sudafricano di incentivazione per produttori indipendenti

di energie rinnovabili (REIPPP) per lo sviluppo e la costruzione di un parco eolico da 140 MW a Roggeveld, in

un’area che si estende tra le province del Northern e del Western Cape, e un impianto mini-idroelettrico da 4.7

MW a Kruisvallei, nella provincia del Free State.

Recentemente Building Energy si è resa protagonista di numerose iniziative di scambio con il Governo

Sudafricano. A luglio 2014 ha sostenuto la realizzazione a Milano di un murale dedicato a Mandela, donato dal

Comune di Milano al Governo Sudafricano per celebrare i 20 anni di democrazia e libertà nel Paese. A maggio

2015, l’azienda è stata sponsor dell’African Utility Week and Clean Power Africa a Cape Town, conferenza e

SUDAFRICA: MINISTRO ESTERI VISITA BUILDING ENERGY A MILANO (AGI) - Citta' del Capo, 21 ott. - Il ministro degli Esteri sudafricano Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, ha fatto oggi visita agli uffici di Building Energy, uno dei principali gruppi di energie rinnovabili che opera nel paese africano. Il ministro, che ha incontrato il Ceo Fabrizio Zago, ha anche regalato alla citta' di Milano, a nome del govrno sudafricano, una statua di brozo di Nelson Mandela. "Stiamo lavorando - ha detto il ministro - per rafforzare le relazioni che abbiamo con le societa' straniere per garantire che i loro investimenti vadano a buon fine". "Manterremo gli obiettivi che ci siamo posti per incrementare il nostro mix energetico e l'uso di energia pulita nel Paese" ha aggiunto.
