SAINTS MICHAEL, GABRIEL, AND RAPAHEL ARCHANGELS, pray for us!
Saint Michael is the "Prince of the Heavenly Host," the leader of all the angels. His name is Hebrew for "Who is like God?" and was the ba#le cry of the good angels against Lucifer and his followers when they rebelled against God. He is men$oned four $mes in the Bible, in Daniel 10 and 12, in the le#er of Jude, and in Revela$on.
Michael, whose forces cast down Lucifer and the evil spirits into Hell, is invoked for protec$on against Satan and all evil. Pope Leo XIII, in 1899, having had a prophe$c vision of the evil that would be inflicted upon the Church and the world in the 20th century, ins$tuted a prayer asking for Saint Michael's protec$on to be said at the end of every Mass.
Chris$an tradi$on recognizes four offices of Saint Michael: (i) to fight against Satan (ii) to rescue the souls of the faithful from the power of the enemy, especially at the hour of death. (iii) to be the champion of God's people, (iv) to call away from earth and bring men's souls to judgment.
San Miguel es el "Príncipe de la hueste celes$al", el líder de todos los ángeles. Su nombre es hebreo para "¿Quién es como Dios?" y fue el grito de batalla de los buenos ángeles contra Lucifer y sus seguidores cuando se rebelaron contra Dios. Se le menciona cuatro veces en la Biblia, en Daniel 10 y 12, en la carta de Judas y en Apocalipsis.
Michael, cuyas fuerzas arrojan a Lucifer y los espíritus malignos al infierno, es invocado para protegerse contra Satanás y todo mal. The three Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are the only angels named in Sacred Scripture and all three have important roles in the history of salva$on.

Saint Gabriel, whose name means "God's strength," is men$oned four $mes in the Bible. Most significant are Gabriel's two men$ons in the New Testament: to announce the birth of John the Bap$st to his father Zacharias, and the at Incarna$on of the Word in the womb of Mary.
Chris$an tradi$on suggests that it is he who appeared to St. Joseph and to the shepherds, and also that it was he who "strengthened" Jesus during his agony in the garden of Gethsemane.

Saint Raphael, whose name means "God has healed" because of his healing of Tobias' blindness in the Book of Tobit. Tobit is the only book in which he is men$oned. His office is generally accepted by tradi$on to be that of healing and acts of mercy.
Raphael is also iden$fied with the angel in John 5:1-4 who descended upon the pond and bestowed healing powers upon it so that the first to enter it a*er it moved would be healed of whatever infirmity he was suffering.

San Rafael, cuyo nombre significa "Dios ha sanado" debido a su curación de la ceguera de Tobías en el Libro de Tobit. Tobit es el único libro en el que se le menciona. Su oficio es generalmente aceptado por la tradición como el de curación y actos de misericordia.
Raphael también se iden$fica con el ángel en Juan 5: 1-4 que descendió sobre el estanque y le otorgó poderes cura$vos para que el primero en entrar después de que se moviera se curara de cualquier enfermedad que estuviera sufriendo.
