Anugoonj 2019

Anugoonj, the much-awaited annual cultural event of the school, was a grand

extravaganza. The soulful music of the choir and orchestra, the enchanting dance

drama, the mesmerizing Indian dances and the thought-provoking plays, beautifully

weaved into an exquisite bouquet by the anchors, held the audience in thrall.


Utsav 2019

Children’s Day is celebrated in Shishukunj annually as Utsav. The students of the

school enjoyed an evening with their friends and teachers (who were behind the

stalls!). The stalls included food, games, handicrafts and even video games!

Achievements

Shishukunj dancers made a hat trick by winning the first prize in Udbhav Utsav

International Dance Festival, Gwalior. Shishukunj stood first in classical dance

in school category competing with 40 teams from around the world.

Shishyans participated in various competitions in AFS India Global Peace Fest

held at Vidyasagar school.

The winners are:

Classical Dance: Urvashi Dighe, 2nd position.

Painting: Diya Dagra, 3rd position.

Essay Writing: Ayush Baweja, 1st position; Ananya Saggi, 2nd position

Elocution: Naisha Kumar, 1st position.

Shishyans participated in E-Summit 2019 organized by Choithram School, Manik

Bagh. A team comprising Asmi Chelawat XII, Samyak Shrimal XII, Aayushi

Panicker XI, Ayush Baweja XI, Krish Shah XI and Sanika Ghodke XI won the ‘Best

Product Idea’ Trophy for their business idea and participated in the networking

events of the summit. Aniruddha Naolekar XII, Dhruv Rajoria XII, Harsh Saklecha

XII, Hardik Pandey XII, Aaliya Chandurwala XI and Zubin Turakhiya XI

participated in a simulation game. Aaliya Chandurwala won the Business Wizard

Trophy. Siddharth Shidhaye XII and Arnav Rathore XII attended the workshops on

various topics.

Inter-House Social Science Wall Magazine Competition

Class VI-VIII

Utsav 2019, celebrated on the 14th of November, also hosted the first-ever Inter-

House Band Competition. Participants were from Classes IX-XII, who took the

roles of a guitarist, pianist, drummer, singer, and even a rapper!

In the 1st Invitational Inter-School Swimming Championship held at New

Digambar Public School, Shishyans won the overall championship.

Shishukunj Swimming Academy has been

accredited by Khelo India for four years.

Surbhi Malu of Class XII F participated in

the 70th Junior Basketball National

Championship held at Patna. The team

qualified for Khelo India Khelo by

securing the 8th position.

Shreyansh Deshlahra Class X

participated in the State Ranking

Championship organised by MP Billiards

and Snooker Association. In the Sub Jr.

Snooker he secured 3rd rank and is in

Top 8 in Junior Snooker and Billiards. He

has been selected for the quarter finals.

In the IDCA VS MPCA open Under 18 A

grade Cricket match Abhas Agrawal

Class XII B made a century: 105 not out

and took 5 wickets.


Sports

Vishesh Rastogi of Class VI E won the

4th MP State Tab le Tennis

Championship (under 12) individual

category. He also became the over all MP

champion of 2019 in cadet category.

He was the captain of Indore cadet team.

He was also the member of Indore B team

in sub junior category (under 15), which

won the silver medal.

Janvi Nadkar of Class IX D won a Bronze

medal in CBSE National Table Tennis

Tournament held at Bijnor, UP. Janvi

was the captain of the Indore District

team which won the gold medal in

Juniors and Sub Junior category. In the

Inter District and State Table Tennis

Tournament held in Indore, Janvi was

the Captain of the winning Junior team.

In the CBSE National Chess

Championship held in Delhi, Darsh

Kansal Class X E, Sujay Jain Class VI D,

Yug Kataria Class IX E and Dhruv

Tandon Class X B won the Bronze medal

in Under-17 Boys’ category.

In the CBSE National Swimming

Championship held in Bhopal,

Khushpreet Bhullar Class X F won 3

Gold medals. Krishna Gadakh Class X F

and Anvisha Bourasi Class IX C also

participated in the same.

Indore Sahodaya Schools Complex Samagam Inter-School Basketball Tournament

was organised by Shishukunj in which 22 schools of the city participated.
