Nokia IP40 is a fully integrated, feature-

rich and pre-configured enterprise class

security solution. It is for distributed

enterprise remote office branch office

(ROBO), work extenders and small and

medium business who need robust VPN

connectivity and firewall protection at a

low cost.

Nokia IP40 is the new mobile connectivity andperimeter security solution for small offices

that are pre-licensed with market-leading

software for easy, out-of-the-box deployment.

Nokia IP40 is built with Nokia time-honored

quality for high reliability with no moving

parts and ease-of-maintenance including

automatic upgrades to provide robust and

dependable service for years to come. The

appliance combines the market-leading Check

Point software on a purpose-built and Nokia-

designed hardware platform. It is well-suited

for customers who demand complete

network reliability and firewall security with

features such as Virtual Router Redundancy

Protocol (VRRP) as well as multiple VPN

connection options offering excellent

performance.

Nokia IP40 provides exceptional price-

performance from a state-of-the-art system

that enables full connectivity from remote to

central offices or other multiple connectiontypes. In addition to the LAN port, the

Nokia IP40 has an Ethernet port to enable

customers to secure a wireless LAN or other

computers on the same appliance without

affecting a corporate connection. The Nokia

IP40 is also equipped with an AUX serial port

for out-of-band management for dial backup

remote configuration and troubleshooting.

For multiple sites, Nokia IP40 provides

powerful remote and local management

capabilities through Nokia Horizon Manager,

Check Point’s SmartCenter and SmartLSM, and

SofaWare’s Security Management Portal. This

allows the quick staging, easy installation

of additional systems or configuring and

upgrading appliances without network

downtime. For local management, the console

port is available for easy access via a Nokia

command-line interface (CLI).

Four versions of the Nokia IP40 are availableas robust enterprise class desktop devices.

IP40 Satellite 32 supports up to 32 nodes

for firewall and 10 tunnels for VPN.
