Their design satisfies increasingly complex requirements for access control systems and building automation systems. The SA2 access controller is the ALWIN system's main intelligence that enables it to operate in standalone mode if there is an IP network interruption. Description This main controller is native IP: the Ethernet connection is embedded directly on the board, which allows it to reach high communication speeds (100 Mbit/s) over the Ethernet network and therefore, make maximum use of its network capabilities. These main controllers require fixed IP addresses and can be connected to a dedicated network (recommended) or an existing network. They are compatible with VLAN operation. They communicate with one another via the network. With additional L4F door reader interface, the main controller can control up to 8 readers. Therefore, any reader can be connected to it to provide compatibility with existing card access systems (magnetic, proximity, Mifare, biometric, etc.) The main controller has 16 balanced inputs and 8 binary outputs to be able to centralise intrusion points with line monitoring or technical alarm points and control sirens, motors or lighting, etc. The SA2 manages 20 000 badges locally, which can be expanded to 100 000 badges if further memory is added. It can also store 10 000 events. The SA2 access controller is available individually in its unit (small box) or supplied with L4F door reader interface in a larger capacity unit (large box). System maintenance and installation is simplified via unpluggable terminal blocks on which all the connections are made (readers, secondary buses, etc.).
