PERSOONLIJKE PROFIELANALYSE: Tom Smit Persoonlijk & Vertrouwelijk

D I S C Tom Smit beschikt over de capaciteiten om mensen aan te sturen, om zodoende samen metanderen zijn doel te bereiken. Hij heeft een warme belangstelling voor zijn medemens enbezit het vermogen om respect en vertrouwen te verkrijgen van bijna iedereen. Hij streefternaar om de zaken op een vriendelijke manier te regelen, waarbij hij zal trachten anderenvan zijn standpunt of mening te overtuigen. Een goede coördinator die bereid is tedelegeren. In de meeste situaties zal hij door zijn zelfbeheersing en zelfvertrouwen de toonaangeven. Er is de neiging om nu en dan impulsief en te enthousiast te zijn. Tom Smit is eenmotivator en manager van mensen. Tom Smit is iemand die zowel anderen kan overredenals zich door die anderen laten overtuigen. Hij zal het soms nogal moeilijk vinden om zichaan de regels te houden en ook de administratie is niet een van zijn favoriete bezigheden.Tom Smit vindt het prettig om tot een team te behoren en anderen (binnen het team) tot zijnstandpunt of zienswijze over te halen. Het behalen van succes is voor hem erg belangrijk enhij verlangt dit te bereiken door het doelgericht leiden van andere mensen.

Zelfmotivatie

Tom Smit houdt van uitdagende opdrachten, waarbij de omgang met mensen centraal staat. Om tot resultaten tekomen, is het leggen en onderhouden van contacten met verschillende mensen nodig. Zijn taken dienen veelafwisseling te bieden. Zakelijk reizen kan goed deel uitmaken van zijn functie. Hij heeft graag gezag en houdt vanhet daarbij behorende prestige. Hij werkt het liefst met of voor een democratische leidinggevende, hoewel dit geenvoorwaarde is om optimaal te functioneren. Tom Smit zal anderen graag zijn goede resultaten tonen.

Functie/Taak accenten

Het verkopen van dingen en ideeën aan mensen.

Ideaal bezien, zou de functie het behalen van meetbare resultaten tot doel moeten hebben. Van hem kan wordenverwacht, dat hij contacten legt en onderhoudt met een grote verscheidenheid aan mensen. De functie dient relatiefvrij te zijn van gedetailleerde zaken. Voor administratieve begeleiding en opvolging moet goede ondersteuningbeschikbaar zijn. Ook zal enige druk uitgeoefend moeten worden om tot de gewenste resultaten te komen.Geregeld zakelijk reizen kan heel goed een onderdeel van de functie zijn, doch een grote verscheidenheid aanopdrachten en taken is beslist noodzakelijk.

D I S C Het "eigenbeeld" laat zien dat hij in staat is zich te conformeren als dit noodzakelijk is. In dehuidige situatie meent hij zijn gedrag te moeten aanpassen. Tom Smit laat zien dat hij zijnonafhankelijke houding benadrukt en zich eigenzinnig en koppig opstelt. Dit is eenaanwijzing dat hij zich neigt af te zetten tegen regels en procedures, omdat hij dit ervaart alseen beperking in zijn doen en laten. Ook het werken onder directe supervisie kost hem meermoeite. Men dient hiermee rekening te houden omdat hij hierdoor moeilijker aan te sturen is.

D I S C Als hij werkelijk onder druk komt te staan, dan zal zijn gedrag wat veranderen. De grafiekbevat aanwijzingen dat zijn zelfbewustheid ten opzichte van het "eigenbeeld" toeneemt. Hijwordt zeer doortastend en zal wedijver niet uit de weg gaan. Het behalen van resultatenwordt onder druk nog belangrijker. Het is dan ook mogelijk dat enige druk in zijn functieprestatieverhogend werkt.

Opmerkingen

Het profiel duidt op geen enkele wijze op meetbare spanningen in de huidige werksituatie. Gewoonlijk is dit eenaanwijzing dat hij wat gedrag en motivatie betreft goed opgewassen is tegen hetgeen in de functie van hem wordtverwacht.

Motivatoren

Tom Smit wordt gemotiveerd door vrijheid van handelen, erkenning, prestige, een goede geldelijke beloning, eenontspannen werkomgeving en prettige, democratische verhoudingen. Mogelijkheden om carrière te maken enafwisseling biedende werkzaamheden zullen hem stimuleren.

Tom Smit werkt het liefst met of voor een democratisch leidinggevende, die in overleg de doelstellingen vaststelt.Met richtlijnen als leidraad, zal deze superieur hem de vrijheid moeten laten om samen met anderen dedoelstellingen te verwezenlijken. Omdat hij veel belangstelling heeft voor de menselijke aspecten van zijn werk, kanhet nodig zijn dat zijn superieur de winstgerichtheid en tijdschema's in de gaten houdt. Dit dient echter niet in devorm van controle te gebeuren, omdat hij dit als beperking zal ervaren.

N.B.

Het voorgaande rapport is een richtlijn. De Persoonlijke Profiel Analyse is een inventarisatie van gedrag gericht opde werksituatie. Het is ontworpen om ondersteuning te geven bij het nemen van beslissingen. Het biedt hulp bij deselectie en beoordeling van personeel. Ook kan het een rol spelen bij het ontwikkelen van het potentieel van eenwerknemer. Het kan gebruikt worden bij het geven van advies.

Dit rapport dient niet gezien te worden als een opzichzelfstaand element, maar moet gebruikt worden in combinatiemet bijvoorbeeld een persoonlijk gesprek om een zo compleet mogelijk beeld te krijgen van de persoon. Ook alleoverige relevante informatie (zoals opleiding, bekwaamheden, ervaring, vaardigheden en dergelijke) dientbetrokken te worden in de besluitvorming.

Richtlijnen voor de interviewer - Persoonlijke Profiel Analyse

Het is aan te bevelen om onderstaande vragen in overweging te nemen in een gesprek tussen de interviewer enTom Smit. De indringende vragen zijn speciaal samengesteld om de interviewer een beter en diepgaander inzichtte geven in de kwaliteiten, beperkingen en de algehele gedragslijn van Tom Smit. De inhoud van het PPA rapportvormt de basis voor deze brede, onderzoekende benadering.
