Year 6 Farewell –Toronto Hotel Function room – More details Term 4
Hello from everyone at Myuna Bay. Apart from loads of fun
there has been lots of great learning happening. Our Year 4
students have really joined in everything and set the behaviour
and manners standard for the other campers to follow.
We have been working on all the “You Can Do It!” elements.
Getting Along is evident everywhere with everyone helping
one another and team work just seems to happen without
thinking about it.
Persistence really paid off today with everyone in the pelicans
group managing to get to the top of the rock climbing wall and
ring the bell – an outstanding achievement for the group. It was
great to see all group members encouraging those who were
having a go.
Resilience paid off last night with several of our campers
managing a night away from home for the very first time – not
easy but they did it and were all proud of themselves this
morning.
Organisation is evident in some of our lodge rooms, and some
rooms are still working on the idea. (Parents – just imagine the
bedroom at home!)
Everyone now has an increased level of confidence, knowing
that they can try new things and achieve.
Parents probably won’t believe it, but washing up is actually fun.
Olivia and Eli were stars with the dish washer hose.
Year 4 wanted to mention some of their camp highlights so far:
having fun
trying new things, sticking with them and achieving a goal
getting along with everyone else
meeting kids from other schools
putting a tooth away for the tooth fairy, at home on Wednesday night (just in case!)
achieving a personal first
being tired but kept going What has been a favourite activity so far – too hard to decide!
Miss J, Mr K , Mr M and 31 campers

The Act of Kindness Award
Term 3 Week 4 went to

BOOK PARADE: To celebrate Book Week this year we will be having a Book Parade on Wednesday 24th August. Children will need to choose a character from a book and dress up on the day. More information will follow. BOOK FAIR: We will be having a Book Fair with children able to purchase books on the day of the Book Parade to take home and
enjoy or to donate to the library. This is a great opportunity to support the school and the library. All purchases earn reward points for the school to purchase books. I will be talking to each class about these events over the next few weeks. If you have any further questions, please contact me at school.
Thank you, Mrs Cashin
Don’t forget about our ordering online system which is simple and fast to use.
