partnership

in

this ministry.

Our

most recent

partnering

church is First Christian in Pleasonton, Kansas. And, a

few

other churches are still

considering

the

potential

of

their role in this ministry to Thailand. We have been so

blessed

by the churches that have beena part of this

ministry.

Along with the churches, there aresome individuals who

havetouched our

lives

with the encouragement and

support that they havebeen. We havebeen blessed by the

relationships that we ve been able to make with friends

over the

years.

During our

moves, we ve

madewonderful

lifetime friendships that will help to sustain us in Thailand.

Further Preparations

In an effort to prepare us for the big taskof learningthe

Thai

language,

Jeffand I attended the

Program

In

Language Acquisition Training PILAT) led by Missionary

Training International, Florissant, Colorado. This

two-week program is designed to equip missionaries going

to the field with a strategy for language learning.

Along

with that, they provide invaluable skills in phonetics to

help us hearand saysounds that we re not accustomed to

using. We both feel that this program

was

beneficial, and

weare excited about learning the Thai language.
