Introduction

The Concept of a Wearable Device

Wearable devices and smart phones have something in common in that they are information communication terminalsthat people can always carry with them. But they have a completely different philosophy of product development that isdivergence and convergence. A smartphone is a typical convergence terminal that performs all functions in one terminal. As a smartphone is popularized, small digital camera market decreased, as well as the markets of portable electronicdictionaries and MP3s. On the other hand, a wearable device has basic rules of distribution of functionality. A wearabledevice has been developed from decomposing the function original single computer was running into a number ofmodules. [3]

Characteristics of Wearable Devices

A wearable device must respond immediately to user needs, and ensure the safety associated with the use of the device. Also it is required to support a user interface that is capable of fusing with the device rather than using the device.

The basic function of a wearable device has the following characteristics: it can be worn anywhere and anytime, its userinterface is easily accessed, convenient to wear and carry around (Fit), safe to use, and has good design (Sociality).[4]

A wearable device is a piece of equipment that can be

carried around and worn on a daily basis to gather

information. Wearable Computing is IT equipment that

contains the function of a small computer that is used byattaching it to the body in the form of clothes, shoes, or

accessories. A Wearable device includes up to the

application to be able to point to all that can be attached to

the body, and the act of computing, and to perform

computing several functions. [2]

Wearable Device

Growth of the smartphone market has reached its apex,so people are noting wearable device as a new source ofrevenue. In the past, we had the Internet of People.Currently, we are transitioning from the Internet ofThings to the Internet of Everything. Wearable deviceswill interact with Internet of Everything. [1]

In order to provide immediate reaction about the user’s

needs, channel that support incessant communication

between the user and the computer is present.

User

Interface

Because a wearable device should be on the extension of

the intellectual ability and physical ability, it provide

integrated sense and natural unity with the user.

Fit Provides a natural feeling of weight.

Safety

Minimizes the physical fatigue and discomfort associated

with the long-wearing and ensure the stability against

such power or electromagnetic waves.

SocialityEliminates the feeling of cultural heterogeneity due to
