Dear B i l l ,We just received an "Horizons", the first in several raonths, it seeI noticed in i t that you ask information for the new directory toprinted in June. Our forwarding agent has just left for Bible Collenecessitating a new one, and the church has appointed this^_ra_forus and neglected to tell me who or what address, so I have asked MBoyd to have her (I think) write to you and give the address and nOur own address is the same^ GOSPEL TRACT CEWrRE, P.p.^_ Box 5135,Johannesburg, 2000, S. We find a lot of busxnesspeople, Christians, arrive here and have trouble finding one of thmissionaries. We are not in the Johannesburg directory as we liveoutside the city proper, aria'we are listed under Church of ChristMission, so often we never get found in time. The same is true ofCooks and o f Smaages and Farnhams.

    We have been rejoicing in the Lord's wonderful blessing on theBible lessons in Malawi just now. Dear Prie^^e a t Mission Services, 5th August, 1976Plans are going forward fo r th e coming rev iva l and DVBS a t KimberleyRoad Church. Some o f ou r workmen or ig ina l ly planned fo r wi l l no t beable to help now, but others wi l l fill in and we look forward to avery blessed week, God wi l l i ng .As I am one to s tep in , I am hopeful of a l i gh t week on the mail t ha tweek, otherwise, I will j u s t se t i t aside to catch up l a te r . The meetinwill h a v e to come first.Since the IBM composer was r e tu rned , it has been ge t t ing a r e a l workou t , Unfor tuna te ly it has s t a r t ed to a c t up a b i t th e l a s t few days ,so we have phoned fo r help again . We hope th a t th is t ime the techn ic ianw i l l be ab l e to make minor a dju stm e nts h ere a t th e house , as we r e a l l yneed it. Phyl l i s has , so f a r , completed typing about a th i rd of herbook, I must still do th e t ex t s fo r th ree smal l bookle t s , and th ehandbi^J,l for the revival services.During Ju ly , in sp i t e o f our problems, I managed to complete the rep rin tin g o f a Venda book and the i l lu s t r a t ions fo r three languageed i t i on s o f ano the r . I have run th e i l l u s t r a t i o n s i n co l o r and w i l lnow ad d t h e text in b l a c k .July was chopped into b i t s , f i r s t by our t r ip to Barberton, followedby a long planned v i s i t from our fr iends Lynn and Lucil le Stanley,They v i s i t e d a few days , then sho r t ly a f t e r they had r e t u rned toUmzumbe, I came down with a bad case of the f lu . I was l i t e ra l ly"flat on my back" in bed for nearly a week, then after I got up s t i l lhad t e r r ib l e headaches, spe l l s of dizz iness , and a bad cough. Thecough and the headaches are s t i l l with me I We a re re lie ved that so fa rPhyllis has not come down with i t , though sev eral o f the children,thei r husbands, and some of our grandchildren have a l l had i t . We havenever jus t known who would be here to be cared for. Lee is s t i l l outof work with his hepa t i t i s , though he i s much bet te r and one can notkeep him i n th e house t h e s e days .I bought the luggage t ra i le r for the printed mate ri al s th is month,and have let tered a sign on the side of i t and have i t ready for^anyopportunity to use i t . Conference wil l naturally be the f i r s t maint r ip . For that , we will also add the tent and camping^gear as well^asthe printed mater ials . I have an order for several things to be printedand brought with us to conference t oo .I have often thought this week how that the Lord so richly supplies forthose things one gives up, i f i t were possible to do so, for Him. Thispast two weeks we have been so r ichly blessed in having a very deare ld erly fr ie nd stay with us of the evenings and nights . Her own daughtewith whom she makes her home, is on holiday in Hong Kong with her husbaso I4rs Haupe (Hope) has been s taying with us of evenings. I t has beenl ike having a visi t from our own , now passed on, mothers. She is reallan Afrikaans lady, but she loves the Lord and has gone nearly everywherwith us and attended every prayer meeting and Sunday evening service.We almost hate to see the Doyles re turn th i s week, as we sha l l miss herr egu l a r v i s i t s so much.

Praise God, we are absolutely "buried" with^requests for Bible LessonbPray urgently that He wil l provide a ful l time typ is t now.Dear Friends a t Mission Services , 6th September, 1976August has not been an easy month in the Mills household, though^weloved i t for the blessings, and we finished publishing and printing4 bookle ts while two more are urgently needed. (1 0,000 copies!)Unfortunately the mission income was so low in August that i t wasnecessary to dip into emergency funds even to pay essential accountsand salary. We are obliged to curb spending as much.as possible.Through a book keeping error , the month ended with the shock that wehad a no t i ce t ha t our account a t the bank was overdrawn. A pre-da tedcheck was due in days that would need a t leas t $150.The Revival and D.V.B.S. a t Kimberley Road were except ional ly goodfor us al l , even though there were no baptisms resulting immediatelyfrom brother Smaage's excellent sermons or the call ing. On closingnight, our building, seating capacity 60, was absolutely bursting atthe seams with 105 people present . The D.V.B.S. averaged more thanour normal t o t a l church at tendance. We did nearly a l l the carryingand taking home afterwards in our long-suffering l i t t le sedan, spendias much t ime on the road as a t Bible School i t s e l f . As I helped t eachand did a l l the d riv in g, our cor respondence and pr int ing work real lys u f f e r e d neg l e c t .We are terr ibly behind in both areas, and will not be able to do a l lthat much about catching up this month as we shal l be away a week fo rthe annual church conference, the Lord willing. Conference is plannedfor Zululand, providing we receive the necessary permits. For the f i rtime, we had to f i l l in long detailed forms in application for permitand these forms were received very l a te indeed. Actually, I questionthe wisdom of using the large tent and taking a large gathering ofpeople into Zululand jus t now. The township disturbances have nows ta r ted to take on the appearance of t r iba l - fac t ions between the Zuluand the other t r iba l people in the townships. Generally speaking, thehas been little t r oub l e ou t s i de t hose a r e a s .At leas t we have an early s t a r t on our work these days. Lee and Kathyare now dependent on us for t ransport to get her to work and home andto church func t ions . Lee i s still unemployed, though he hopes to beapproved for permanent staff in the temporary work he now has. In themeantime, Kathy is their sole support and her pay as a trainee nurseis only about adequate for food alone, hence they have had to give upthe car and are struggling to pay the lights and rent. I now get up a6:00 a.m. to get her and the children to the Hospital on time, thenreturn for her in the evening. I t does give me more hours to work, buis not helping me physically or helping pay the gasolene bi l l for theextra driving i t enta i l s . I find myself feeling absolutely done-inbefore the evening news broadcast after which I^can go to bed. Howthey will cope the week v/e are away, I have no idea.Webber Street Church of Christ-sponsors Yplirs Chris t ,Mrs Helen Huckel, 505 Fairlawn /Urbana, XL.
