CREAM OF THE CROP will NOT meet for “Sunday dinner” over the summer.

THANK YOU! To everyone who donated items or money, as-sembled baskets, cooked, set up, cleaned up, and purchased youth auction items, thank you from the bottom of my heart! We raised so much to help keep camp costs down for everyone, and to send kids to camp who could not otherwise afford to go. We will have a total listed in next Sunday’s bulletin. May you be blessed as you have blessed!

BUSINESS MEETING, BAPTISM & LORD’S SUPPER: Our next Business Meeting and Lord’s Supper are scheduled for Sunday, June 4 at 6:00 p.m. Please plan to attend.

BABY DEDICATION PICTURE DEADLINE: We will have a baby dedication service at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, June 18 (Father’s Day). If you have children you wish to dedicate as part of that service and would like photos of them to be part of the slideshow presentation, please e-mail digital photos to [email protected] no later than next Sunday, June 4. Thank you!

SOUTHERN BAPTIST CONVENTION BROADCAST: The Southern Baptist Convention (June 12-14, 2017) will be available to watch online at SBCannualmeeting.net . If you would like to watch the broadcast, but do not have access to a computer at your home, please contact the office no later than Wednesday, June 7, to arrange to watch the broadcast here at the church. Thank you!

A Note from Pastor Phillips:

Thank you for coming to worship with us today. If you are a first-time visitor, I would sure like the opportunity to meet you and welcome you personally. Because I believe in a Sovereign God, I don’t believe anything happens by chance. I believe you were brought here today for a purpose. I would love to help you dis-cover that purpose, and to see if there is any way we as a church can bless and minister to you and your family. Please stop by the Resource Center after the service so I can shake your hand. I’d sure count it a privilege.

Pastor Harold

Thank you for joining us today for worship. Your presence was a blessing.

If you are interested in learning about church membership, we have a “First Steps” class which meets in room 122 at 9:00 a.m. each Sunday. It’s a great place to start!

If there is any way that our church can as-sist you or your family, please contact the office at 410-378-4476.

We pray that you have been blessed, and have found that coming to Pleasant View

Baptist Church is truly . . . like coming home.

Pleasant View Baptist Church is a smoke-free campus. We encourage you to re-frain from smoking while on the premis-es. If you must smoke while here, please do so in your car. If you have any ques-tions, please ask one of our Pastors.

Our public servants and first responders are facing more dangerous and uncertain times in their occupations these days. While we watch the news and shake our heads at the senseless acts of those who seemingly care only about making headlines, our men and women are out there on the front lines, putting themselves between us and danger.

Please pray for those in our church and church family members who are serving as police officers, firefighters and emergency medi-cal technicians. To add a name to this prayer list, please call the of-fice so we can support him/her in prayer. Thank you.

This is Wally. Why is Wally so GRUMPY?

Wally is grumpy because he had his Thursday morning coffee ALONE in-stead of coming out to our Senior Coffee Corner!

SENIORS: Come enjoy hot coffee, yummy donuts and lively conver-sation every Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. in our lovely coffee room here at the church.

Don’t sit home alone and have your cup of joe.

Don’t be a Wally!

(If your name is Wally, I apologize.)

MILITARY BIBLE STICK CAMPAIGN A Bible Stick is an audio drama presentation of the New Testament that is simple and easy to use. It’s designed to follow a 40-day plan, listening 28 minutes a day, and is powered by one AAA battery. Its portable nature makes it perfect for deployed soldiers! Each month, U.S. Military chaplains receives 27,500 requests for Bible Sticks.

If you are interested in providing one or more Bible Sticks, please call Lauree in the church office, or place your gift in the offering plate with “BIBLESTICKS” in the memo area of your check. Each Bible Stick costs $25.

We will be collecting for Bible Sticks from May 20 to July 4. Our goal is $5,000, which would provide them for two full battalions! Last year, we gave $6,750! An anonymous donor will match whatever we collect as a church this Sunday and next, so if you plan to give, now is the time!

VBS 2017 Hey, kids! Did you know that your heart is “under construction?” God is building you into the best YOU possible! Come to Vaca-tion Bible School this summer, June 25-29 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. and learn about how God can build you into an amazing Christian!

SUMMER CHILDREN’S PROGRAM

Our Summer Program for children currently in grades 1 through 6 begins Wednesday, June 7 and runs through the month of August. Instead of girls’ and boys’ classes, your children are invited to spend each Wednesday evening with Pastor Mike and Pastor Harold. Bring them to the Jr. Church area at 7 p.m. and pick them up at 8 p.m. (There is no change to the Skippers and Scooters pro-gram for the summer - please take your K and Pre-K chil-dren to their normal classrooms.)

Dear PVBC, Thank you to everyone for the food, flowers, choir performanc-es, cards, ministering agents, visits, prayers and participation in the celebration of the lives of Delmer and Lucy Price. The Lord allowed us the privilege of loving them and serving and worshipping Him with them for many years. Their presence was a gift from the Lord, and we will treasure it in our hearts. Though saying farewell to both of them at once was difficult, we believe that taking them within hours of each other was His gift to them. We look forward to seeing them and worshipping with them again someday. Thank you again.
