These days our children grow up afraid of spiders,

use the Wii to play five stones against a computer,

and only know two kinds of chicken - original and

crispy.

Our children deserve better. They deserve to feel

the rain on their face, hear the chirping of birds,

smell the morning dew. They deserve to taste the

sweetness of the fruit plucked from the tree, from

the seeds that they sowed.

We believe that you learn much more climbing a

tree than looking at it going, “wah, so tall.”

It is with this belief that we envision Kampung

Temasek; a place where our children can peek at

our past, to learn for their future. With its rustic

setting and symbiotic programmes with the local

community, Kampung Temasek will afford a place

for children to appreciate how our neighbours

live. With its infrastructure and host of experi-enced local and Singaporean staff, it will

be a platform for people of all ages to build pro-

grammes in the same vein. And with Kampung

Temasek’s shiny new ‘Open Source Infrastructure’

concept, the programmes and community will

build on each other to provide a wealth of learn-

ing and progress for our clients:
