JOIN US FOR HERITAGE DAY: Thabazimbi – Lene Mets, an exchange student from Hamburg Germany, is currently gracing HFM with her presence. She will attend Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer from August to January 2018. “I wanted to come to South Africa because I didn’t want to go somewhere in Europe and I also wanted to get to know a completely new country and culture. In Germany we don’t learn that much about South Africa so I wanted to do this by myself,” Lene said. “The people in Thabazimbi are really welcoming. The students and the teachers are so caring. They showed me around and told me where my classes were. I really appreciate that I am able to live in Thabazimbi and study at the Hoërskool Frikkie Meyer,” Lene added. “We wish Lene a happy stay in South Africa and hope she will take back good memories and make plenty of friends. May your time here be joyful and educational,” said a representative from the school.
