Survival Rates Definition

The tables show the percentage of daughters from certain bulls after a certain period after calving who are still present on the farm. The measurement points are shown at 12, 24, 36, 48 and 60 months after the 1st calving.In order to have reached a value in this table, a minimum of 100 daughters in a certain age category need to have reached this point. The first line shows the average in the Netherlands in each category. The line below shows the percentage of the corresponding bull. The above example shows that daughters of bull SHOGUN PS – 60 months after 1st calving (cows are about 7 years) still 48% are present. Compared with the average in the Netherlands this is 20% higher!
