.the Grant Counly Chamber of Commercethat he had planed to dedicate this memorialin May.
Due to tire shortage the dedic;ation ispostponed infefinilcfy. .
Sunnounting the large base of theInemorial is a riderless. horse with theinscription below "Marcho Adelante, andbeneath is the inscription, "Erected in theml;Jnory of Frank Worden by his manyrrknds of the Old Range." Mrs, Worden isnow burried in the same' pJQL She neversaw the monument bUl Mr. Roach showedher a picture of it in the hospital before shed.ied.
Mr. Worden was born in SocorroCounty in 1880. He attended school inH illsboro~ his parents having moved toSierra County in 1884. He rode his father'srange as a young man and later engaged in .the cattle business on his own. .
He had extensive fann holdings on theRio Grande. He was married to MargariteMartin of Sierra County in 1909. Their SonRobert F. Worden is an officer in the U.S,Aircorps.
Mr. Worden once rode' for Russel A.Aigcr. Detroit, Michigan, Secretary of Waruurin.g the Spanish American War, whoowned lhe Bar Cross Ranch.
