Vragen en/of opmerkingen: [email protected] Aanvulling bijdrage iPhone-special In het vorige FDSE-blad stond een special over de combinatie van Slingbox en iPhone. Daarin was beloofd in dit nummer nog een aanvulling te geven met meer applicaties. De iPhone heeft diverse applicaties die zijn gemaakt om het leven van satelliet-liefhebber wat eenvoudiger (lees leuker) te maken. Omdat er nogal veel applicaties voor de iPhone blijken te zijn was het niet mogelijk alles te beschrijven en is er veel tekst gekopieerd van internet. Voor hen die geen Engels en/of de Duitse taal machtig zijn is er van de gegeven weblinken ook een verwijzing gegeven daar waar de betreffende Engels/Duitse site in het Nederlands vertaald is. Pas op: dit zijn automatische vertalingen en zijn dus verre van correct vertaald. Maar meestal is de context van het verhaal hiermee wel duidelijk. Aan de pdf-versie van het FDSE-blad is een overzicht en uitleg van deze applicaties als bijlage toegevoegd. In het algemeen nog het volgende: - Satelliethobby en de iPhone Hierna staat een overzicht van de applicaties die zijn ontwikkeld voor de iPhone en welke

handig zijn voor onze satelliethobby. Mocht je weten of er andere dergelijke

applicaties/programma's zijn voor de iPhone dan laat dat even weten. Laat ook even

weten indien je dergelijke applicaties/programma's hebt voor andere typen telefoons zoals

Android Phone, Windows Mobile, Nokia of anderen.

De beschrijving is meestal vanaf de iTunes gekopieerd. Helaas is dit in het Engels maar

hopelijk geeft dit ook voldoende informatie.

Pas op: voor de afstandsbedieningen of de Flashapplicatie moet je wel verbinding hebben

op je thuis-WIFI-netwerk! Het werkt niet (voor zover ik het voor elkaar krijg) met het 3G

netwerk).

EasySat gets your location and provides you the data for receiving the satellite from your sky

neighborhood. Navigate among the visible satellites with the picker or by scrolling onscreen the

virtual Clarke’s bell and double-tapping a satellite.

You’ll get true direction (azimuth), elevation and TNB skew for direction.

GPS, Wifi or cellular network provides automatic location.

No data connection is required, the position database with more than 160 satellites, fresh from

March 2010, is integrated.

3GS owners with built-in compass can follow the red or green arrows to turn their Iphone to the

right azimuth.

Others must use a compass and EasySat will provide Magnetic Azimuth so you don’t need to care

about magnetic declination for your location.

The app uses the gps, accelerometer, and the compass of the new iPhone 3GS. Just move the phone up and down and left and right and the satellite arc will follow the live video on the display. The compass has a bit of a lag though, so when doing quick sideways movements the satellite arc is trying to catch up but then settles to the correct position.

Expect this app to be released with the iPhone OS 3.1 update. In the meantime check out the other DishPointer apps.

Eigen ervaring: werkt prima. (nagenoeg) Identiek aan de mogelijkheden van DreaMote. InstellSettings (instellingen): Name: kies maat iets Host name: Het IP nummer van je Dreambox (b.v. 192.168.1.103). User / Pss: rooot / dreambox Enigma2: Schuif naar rechts (blauw) indien je Enigma 2 hebt en schuif naar links (grijs) indien je Enigma 1 hebt. Druk op SAVE.

Eigen ervaring: Beperkt. Ik heb als test wel enkele firmwares(xxx.nfi) binnen kunnen halen (b.v. die van Pli : pli-e2-jade3-dm800-6705.nfi op 17 december 209). Dus dat klopt. Dmv het ingeven van het IP-nummer wat gegenereed wordt door de Dreambox (b.v. m.b.v. de STOP-methode) kan je dit xxx.nfi betand de Dreambox mideels je iPhone flashen. Dit laaste heb ik persoonlijk niet gedaan omdat ik anders alee nstellingen van mijn Dreambox weer opnieuw in zou moeten stellen en daar had ik geen tijd/zin in. Maar ik twijfel er niet aan of het zal GOED werken .
