Een oplopend tekort van 8.600 - 16.000 ICT-ers in 2015 *De komende jaren moeten we rekening houden met een oplopend tekort aan ICT-ers. Schattingen spreken van een jaarlijks tekort van 8.600 - 16.000 ICT-ers in 2015. Bij een licht herstellende economie is het tekort 8.600, bij een sterk herstellende economie loopt dit jaarlijks tekort op tot 16.000 ICT-ers in 2015. De instroom van schoolverlaters is hierin al meegenomen. De tekorten worden extra gevoeld op het gebied van soft- en hardware en infrastructuur. Daarnaast is er sterke behoefte aan gekwalificeerd personeel op strategisch niveau.

Functioneel beheer is ongrijpbaar vakgebied

Tip 1: Vacaturetitel Een bloemlezing uit recente vacatures: Functioneel Applicatiebeheerder, Assistent IT Service Management, Senior applicatiebeheerder SAP, informatieanalist, Informatiemanager en Business Information Manager. Feit is dat een functioneel beheerder primair vanuit het proces denkt, en niet vanuit een systeem of applicatie. Ik ben er dan ook van overtuigd dat men met titels als Functioneel Beheerder Financieel of Informatiemanager Marketing meer goed passende cv’s zal ontvangen. Tip 2: Applicatiekennis In negen van de tien vacatures voor functioneel beheerders zie ik nog steeds specifieke applicatiekennis als harde eis worden gesteld. Hiermee worden goede kandidaten ten onrechte bij de selectie aan de kant geschoven. Als functioneel beheerder heb je namelijk voornamelijk kennis van één of meer bedrijfsprocessen.Tip 3: Opleiding ‘..veel echt goede functioneel beheerders hebben zich .. in de praktijk bewezen en op die manier zichzelf een ruim hbo-niveau eigen gemaakt..’ Tip 4: Certificaten BiSL, ITIL, Prince II, TMAP en ASL worden regelmatig genoemd als noodzakelijke certificaten. Er zijn voldoende kandidaten beschikbaar die het certificaat nooit hebben gehaald maar wel stevige ervaring hebben met de onderliggende kennis en de praktische toepassing ervan.Tip 5: Softskills Ik zie weinig tot geen vacatures waar wordt gerept over de softskills die de betreffende functioneel beheerder zou moeten hebben. Dit is belangrijk omdat men met zowel it'ers als eindgebruikers en managers zal moeten schakelen. In deze gesprekken dient de functioneel beheerder altijd zijn voelsprieten te gebruiken om de diverse meningen, ideeën, doelstellingen, conflicten en verborgen agenda’s te signaleren en op de juiste manier hierop te reageren en acteren.
