Sharing session on F.1 admission for alumni

TALK ON GEMSTONES

WYKPSA is going to organize a Talk onGemstones, including, inter alia, diamond, ruby,sapphire, emerald, jade, pearl, etc.

Details of the Talk are as follows:

Date: 1 March 2014 (Saturday)Time: 2:30 p.m. 4:00 p.m.Venue: Geography Room, WYKSpeaker: Miro Ng (1996)

Miro Ng has over 20 years of experiences incollecting various gemstones and minerals. He got aPhD in Chemistry and has devoted himself in thefield of gemmology during the past 6 years. He iscurrently the vice principal of the Hong KongInstitute of Gemmology and regularly deliversgemmology related talks and training to both publicand private sectors.

During the Talk, the following topics will bediscussed:

1. Gemstone varieties2. Grading and the market trend of gemstones3. Buying guide

The Inter-School Athletics Competition will be held between 8:00 a.m. 6:30 p.m. on the following dates:

Day 3: 28 February 2014 (Friday)The School would like to invite all alumni to go to WanChai Sports Ground to cheer up our Wah Yan Athletes.Even if you may only be able to show up for a while, itwill certainly raise the fighting spirit as the support ofour elder brothers is what matters most.
